UFO SIGHTING? MYSTERIOUS FLYING OBJECT RECORDED BY POLICE HELICOPTER

Footage of what appears to be a UFO was shot by a South Wales police helicopter, and it has officers and the public baffled.

The object – which could not be seen with the naked eye – was captured by thermal cameras.

The mysterious footage was filmed by the helicopter while it was flying 1,000 feet over the Bristol Channel at around 9.30 pm on Saturday, September 24.

The police recorded the object for just over seven minutes. They reportedthat it was flying against the wind, and said it was difficult to judge the size.

Footage from the heat-seeking helicopter camera shows a spherical object bobbing around in the center of the screen.

The National Police Air Service St Athan in South Wales tweeted footage of the UFO and said it was not spotted by local air traffic control.

Some people on Twitter suggested it could be a balloon or a Chinese lantern, but police have ruled out both possibilities because of the heat and movement.

This isn’t the first time a mysterious flying object has been spotted in the region. In February, a woman claimed she captured proof of alien life just a few miles away from where the police helicopter was flying, reportsSomersetLive:

Fiona Powell was walking her children with friends along the sea front on Severn Beach when she took a photo of the view.

But on closer inspection, the corner of one of the photos contained what appeared to be a flying saucer.

Later that month, a Bristol stargazer believed he photographed a UFO:

Caught on a Canon 650D camera with a 70-300mm telescopic lens, sky-watcher Louis Read thought he may have snapped images of an extraterrestrial mothership near Jupiter’s moon, Europa. The photographs were picked up by American UFO fanatics Secure Team 10, and turned in to a YouTube video which has been watched almost 250,000 times.

Chairman of the Cornwall Research Group David Gillham said new technology such as thermal and infrared cameras were leading to more spotting of UFOs than ever before.

Gillham told SomersetLive that there are hundreds of sightings in the area every year:

The theory is they (UFOs) are all around all the time but we can’t see them. Infrared and thermal cameras allow us to see things that are working in a different light sphere.

More people are posting their sightings on Facebook these days and there are a hell of lot on there.
