I received an interesting call from the paranormal hotline. The call was from Antonio (Tony) Romano from Newark, New Jersey and his friend Alessandro (Alex) De Luca from Bayonne, New Jersey. Tony and Alex said that they had some terrifying paranormal experiences, and they need help. Tony and Alex are amateur paranormal investigators, and they did some paranormal investigating at the Statue of Liberty and the Vessel at Hudson Yards. I asked Tony and Alex why they decided to investigate these landmarks. Tony explained to me that there were suicides at both landmarks.

While talking with Tony and Alex, I started researching suicides at these landmarks. It appears there were 3 suicides at the Statue of Liberty. One in 1929, another one in 1932, and the latest one in 1997. Three suicides total. The Black Tom Explosion orchestrated by World War I German agents killed 3 men and a baby and caused damage to the Statue of Liberty. As for the Vessel at the Hudson Yards, there were 4 suicides since 2019. The last suicide was a 14-year-old child and because of that, they closed the Vessel to the public.

What is amazing about the Statue of Liberty, is that this copper statue while being built in France, had no casualties of French laborers and no casualties of American laborers as they assembled the statue at Liberty Island. The statue, a gift from France was dedicated to the United States on October 28, 1886, and now the Goddess of Liberty with her beauty, represents universal liberty and freedom for American people and all free people of the world. After the 9/11 attack the Statue of Liberty and Liberty Island were closed to the public for 100 days. The statue has been through some harrowing moments in US history, but as for deaths at the statue, there isn’t too many and I wondered why Alex and Tony would need help with their paranormal experiences at these two landmarks.

As I continued my conversation with Tony and Alex, I asked them what is going on, why would you need my help? Tony and Alex explained to me that they investigated the Vessel in 2017 and investigated the Statue of Liberty in 2016. Only recently they have been haunted by the same ghost. The ghost of a man wearing a “walker” hat and an old-time suit. The haunting started in February 2023, and they believe that it has to do with their investigation at the Statue of Liberty or the Vessel. I asked Tony and Alex, why do you think it’s because of your investigation at these two landmarks? Tony explained to me that the man in the “walker” hat says to them both…”kill yourself”. Tony also says that this is the same voice that whispered in his ear, while he was on the Statue of Liberty and he said: “get me to the crown!” Tony and Alex have did their own research and they tell me that there was a man that committed suicide that thought the FBI was after him and he needed to get to the crown. Tony also explained to me that while at the Vessel, they heard the same man say “jump”. Tony and Alex tell me that they are being terrorized by this entity, because now it appears in their bedroom and stares at them. The entity will also laugh hysterically and his eyes are solid black. Tony and Alex believe the entity followed them from the Statue of Liberty or the Vessel.

I asked Tony and Alex did they bring anything back with them from these two landmarks. Lo and behold, Tony tells me that they found 2 sterling silver cufflinks half buried in the ground at Liberty Island. I truly believe that the energy from this entity is attached to those cufflinks. The cufflinks must be returned to Liberty Island, where they found them. Tony has one cufflink and Alex has the other cufflink.
I also told them when they return the cufflinks, to spread holy water over the cufflinks in the sign of the cross and pray for protection. This is a continuing case and I will be assisting Tony and Alex, to make sure that the entity will not harass them anymore. Tony and Alex asked if I have ever been to the Statue of Liberty and my answer is “no”. When Deanna and I, were headed for Toronto, Canada, we did a layover in New York and when the plane took off, we could see the Statue of Liberty. A very impressive sight. I would love to investigate the monumental statue one day and if I do, I will not be bringing back anything from Liberty Island.
