I’ve been in Martinique recently to give a four day workshop for AFMI with the photographer Olivier Merzoug. Martinique is an gorgeous island filled with open and amazing people, I can’t wait to go back there. I took place in a amazing resort, we kept mornings to have presentations, talks and learn more theoretical aspects and in the afternoon we when out shooting with models, wardrobe and styling. This amazing trip has inspired me and I made sure to inspire the people in this workshop.

The workshop focused on portrait, beauty, fashion and swimwear photography and we also got to teach some post production techniques.

We dedicated the second day to portrait, and since the harder portraits to take is of the photographers themselves I had this class posing to understand light Technics and how to better work with the models.

We used a simple two light set-up, one SMDV BRiHT-360 with a SMDV BR-40 Snoot with grid adapter to light the background and a SMDV BRiHT-360 with a SMDV Speedbox-70 to light the subject with a Omega reflector to shape the light.
