Idiot! They’re trying to protect people in those shelters. You have to show your ID everywhere else so what’s your problem? They probably also want to have a list of people staying in each shelter so they can be accounted for and be found by family and friends looking for them. Conspiracies do exist and a lot are really bad but not every damn thing is a conspiracy. The sheriff just warned that those with warrants will be escorted to jail. Sounds to me like he’s trying to deter criminals from entering the shelters so he can protect others who are in them. Would you want your daughter, wife, son accosted in a shelter by someone the sheriff’s trying to keep out? I wouldn’t.
