The State of Idaho will Murder Convicted killer Paul Rhodes at 7:30 am.11/18/2011

                   Murder in the Name of Justice

  The State of Idaho will strap Paul Rhodes to it’s execution gurney at 7:30 am, and inject a combination of lethal chemicals , in the name of Justice. It is tragic that this man, who was convicted by a Jury of his peers, stole the lives of three people , who were going about their lives, until Mr. Rhodes came crashing in. He stole their lives, and all the time their families and loved one’s would ever have, a loss which can never be rectified, or made right.To the families of those brutally murdered by this man, my deepest sympathy.

  This brings me to my current point, which is, if it was wrong and immoral for this man, who acted more like a beast, to take the lives of innocent people, then it is equally wrong for the State to kill in the name of Justice. It is my position, that murder , in any form, except the defense of one’s self or loved ones, is wrong. It is a lowering of Society, to the level of this viscous killer, when we practice the infliction of death upon another, even when the party being killed is admittedly guilty.

  In this instance, they have the right man, he has admitted his guilt, but how many have been executed by our less than perfect Judicial System? How many have been recently released from serving years of their lives, only to be cleared by DNA Evidence? The State should never play God, and determine when someone should die. If you believe in God, then you must also believe in the punishment of wrongdoers.

  Mr.Rhodes may deserve to die, but it lowers the entire State to the level of blood thirsty killers, when they execute a man for his crimes. It would be much harder on Mr. Rhodes, were he to spend the rest of his life locked in the hell which is Death Row.. The State has become no better than the criminal they are executing.
