US Senate candidate Lee Whitnum rejects Connecticut Democratic Party – vows to stay in the race for the US senate.

Charges Murphy and Malloy with pandering to a constituent group

Lee Whitnum, is leaving the Democratic Party but will continue her candidacy for US senate. She blames Governor Malloy and Congressman Murphy for lying to the people to pander to the ultra conservative branch of the Jewish community. Whitnum also sites repeated bias by Chairwoman Nancy DiNardo as a contributing factor.

“I’ve had enough, I’m leaving the Connecticut Democratic Party. I can’t be in a party where two of the highest representatives in the party namely Governor Malloy and Congressman Murphy lie to the people about the real reason why we went to the Iraq war. Pandering to a constituent group is not leadership,” said Whitnum.
