The Hegelian Dialectic.

Revolutionaries in government have created economic chaos, shortages in food and fuel, confiscatory taxation, a crisis in education, the threat of war, and other diversions to condition Americans for the “New World Order.”

The technique is as old as politics itself. It is the Hegelian Dialectic of bringing about change in a three-step process: Thesis, Antithesis and Synthesis.

The first step (thesis) is to create a problem. The second step (antithesis) is to generate opposition to the problem (fear, panic and hysteria). The third step (synthesis) is to offer the solution to the problem created by step one: A change which would have been impossible to impose upon the people without the proper psychological conditioning achieved in stages one and two.

Applying the Hegelian Dialectic, and irresistible financial influence, concealed change agents seek to dismantle social and political structures by which free men govern themselves — ancient landmarks erected at great cost in blood and treasure.

Their objective is to emasculate sovereign states, merge nations under universal government, centralize economic powers, and control the world’s people and resources.

Voltaire on Madness:
“Madness is to hold an erroneous perception and argue perfectly from it.”

Comments from Roy:
It is not about the war; it is not about global warming; it is not about racism; it is not about abortion rights and homosexual rights or recession … it’s about (Marxist) Revolution.

“…the State ‘has the supreme right against the individual, whose supreme duty is to be a member of the State… for the right of the world spirit is above all special privileges.’” Author/historian William Shirer, quoting Georg Hegel in his The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich (1959, page 144)

In 1847 the London Communist League (Karl Marx and Frederick Engels) used Hegel’s theory of the dialectic to back up their economic theory of communism. Now, in the 21st century, Hegelian-Marxist thinking affects our entire social and political structure. The Hegelian dialectic is the framework for guiding our thoughts and actions into conflicts that lead us to a predetermined solution. If we do not understand how the Hegelian dialectic shapes our perceptions of the world, then we do not know how we are helping to implement the vision. When we remain locked into dialectical thinking, we cannot see out of the box.

Hegel’s dialectic is the tool which manipulates us into a frenzied circular pattern of thought and action. Every time we fight for or defend against an ideology we are playing a necessary role in Marx and Engels’ grand design to advance humanity into a dictatorship of the proletariat. The synthetic Hegelian solution to all these conflicts can’t be introduced unless we all take a side that will advance the agenda. The Marxist’s global agenda is moving along at breakneck speed. The only way to completely stop the privacy invasions, expanding domestic police powers, land grabs, insane wars against inanimate objects (and transient verbs), covert actions, and outright assaults on individual liberty, is to step outside the dialectic. This releases us from the limitations of controlled and guided thought.

When we understand what motivated Hegel, we can see his influence on all of our destinies. … Hegelian conflicts steer every political arena on the planet, from the United Nations to the major American political parties, all the way down to local school boards and community councils. Dialogues and consensus-building are primary tools of the dialectic, and terror and intimidation are also acceptable formats for obtaining the goal. The ultimate Third Way agenda is world government. Once we get what’s really going on, we can cut the strings and move our lives in original directions outside the confines of the dialectical madness. Focusing on Hegel’s and Engel’s ultimate agenda, and avoiding getting caught up in their impenetrable theories of social evolution, gives us the opportunity to think and act our way toward freedom, justice, and genuine liberty for all.

Today the dialectic is active in every political issue that encourages taking sides. We can see it in environmentalists instigating conflicts against private property owners, in democrats against republicans, in greens against libertarians, in communists against socialists, in neo-cons against traditional conservatives, in community activists against individuals, in pro-choice versus pro-life, in Christians against Muslims, in isolationists versus interventionists, in peace activists against war hawks. No matter what the issue, the invisible dialectic aims to control both the conflict and the resolution of differences, and leads everyone involved into a new cycle of conflicts.

We’re definitely not in Kansas anymore.

In 1808, Hegel still talked of constructing some sort of bridge between traditional logic set out in classical form by Aristotle and his own. Aristotlean logic had been the standard for 2,000 years.

Aristotle (384 BC – 322 BC) perfected a form of deductive argument called the syllogism.

“Classical reasoning assumes the principle of logical identity: A = A or A is not non-A”.

Why did Hegel need a different logic? Perhaps you may already have seen the answer to this in Hegel’s Phenomenology.

Hegel usually referred to the Phenomenology as his “psychology”, because it was the only one of his writings which deals with the world, not as it appears to Absolute Mind (or Spirit) but to quite ordinary minds like our own. It traced a path from our everyday commonsense states of mind to the vantage point of “Systematic Science”.

“But in writing that book I became aware of employing a new and unprecedented way of thinking”.

Dialectical Thinking

Hegel’s different way of thinking has become known as dialectical thinking. What makes dialectical thinking so difficult to explain is that it can only be seen in practice. It is not a “method” or a set of principles, like Aristotle’s, which can be simply stated and then applied to whatever subject-matter one chooses.

How do we begin to understand how this dialectic works?

First, by beginning to appreciate Hegel’s unique philosophical ambition.

Totality

For Hegel, only the whole is true. Every stage or phase or moment is partial, and therefore partially untrue. Hegel’s grand idea is “totality” which preserves within it each of the ideas or stages that it has overcome or subsumed. Overcoming or subsuming is a developmental process made up of “moments” (stages or phases). The totality is the product of that process which preserves all of its “moments” as elements in a structure, rather than as stages or phases.

Think of these structural elements as the interrelated ones of a whole architecture or even better, a fractal architecture.

Aufhebung or Sublation

Aristotle’s logic is concerned with separate, discrete (self-)identities in a deductive pattern. Hegel dissolves this classical static view in a dynamic movement towards the whole. The whole is an overcoming which preserves what it overcomes.

Nothing is lost or destroyed but raised up and preserved as in a spiral. Think of the opening of a fern or a shell.

This is an organic rather than mechanical logic. Hegel’s special term for this “contradiction” of overcoming and at the same time preserving is Aufhebung, sometimes translated as “sublation“.

For anything to happen, everything has to be in place.

Quantum theory, postmodern cosmology, chaos theory, computer interfacing and ecology all essentially subscribe to this view of “totality” in question, without being “hegelian”.

A Grammar of Thinking

In Hegel’s treatment of logic, thinking dwells on itself, rather than trying to comprehend the world. The Science of Logic deals with logical categories, not the accidents of history or various modes of relating to the world. It is rather absent or distant from the world as such.

“I liken my study of logic to the study of grammar. You only really see the rewards when you later come to observe language in use and you grasp what it is that makes the language of poetry so evocative”.

Hegel deals with a sequence of logical categories: being, becoming, one, many, essence, existence, cause, effect, universal, mechanism, and “life”. Each is examined in turn and made to reveal its own inadequacies and internal tensions. Each category is made to generate another more promising one which in its turn will be subject to the same kind of scrutiny.

Negation

Hegel calls this dynamic aspect of his thinking the power of “negation“. It is by means of this “negativity” of thought that the static (or habitual) becomes discarded or dissolved, made fluid and adaptable, and recovers its eagerness to push on towards “the whole”.

Dialectical thinking derives its dynamic of negation from its ability to reveal “contradictions” within almost any category or identity.

Hegel’s “contradiction” does not simply mean a mechanical denial or opposition. Indeed, he challenges the classical notion of static self-identity, A = A, or A not= non-A.

By negation or contradiction, Hegel means a wide variety of relations difference, opposition, reflection or relation. It can indicate the mere insufficiency of a category or its incoherence. Most dramatically, categories are sometimes shown to be self-contradictory.

Three Kinds of Contradiction

  1. The three divisions of the Science of Logic involve three different kinds of contradiction. In the first division Being the opposed pair of concepts at first seem flatly opposed, as if they would have nothing at all to do with one another: Being Nothing / Quantity Quality. Only be means of analysis or deduction can they be shown to be intimately interrelated.
  2. In the second division Essence the opposed pairs immediately imply one another. The Inner and the Outer, for example: to define one is at the same time to define the other.
  3. In the third division the Concept [Notion] we reach an altogether more sophisticated level of contradiction. Here we have concepts such as identity whose component parts, Universality and Particularity, are conceptually interrelated.

The third level is more difficult to depict or illustrate than the others because it is truly abstract. Here we are talking about relations which can only be disentangled from one another by a process of abstraction.

For example. We can see how one of our most vital categories individuality can be built up out of a pair of apparently opposing principles, universality and particularity.

Triadic Structure

If negation is the inner life-force of the dialectic, then triadic structure is its organic, fractal form.

THESIS
ANTITHESIS
SYNTHESIS
A thought is affirmed which on reflection proves itself unsatisfactory, incomplete of contradictory … which propels the affirmation of its negation, the antithesis, which also on reflection proves inadequate … and so is again negated …

In classical logic, this double negation (“A is not non-A”) would simply reinstate the original thesis. The synthesis does not do this. It has “overcome and preserved” (or sublated) the stages of the thesis and antithesis to emerge as a higher rational unity.

Note: This formulation of Hegel’s triadic logic is convenient, but it must be emphasised that he never used the terms thesis, antithesis and synthesis.

Hegel’s dialectic triad also serves another logical purpose. Kant had distinguished two kinds of logic:

  1. The analytic logic of understanding which focuses the data of sense-experience to yield knowledge of the natural phenomenal world.
  2. The dialectical logic of understanding which operates independently of sense-experience and erroneously professes to give knowledge of the transcendent noumena (“things in themselves” or also the “infinite” or the “whole”)

Hegel’s view is completely different.

  1. Analytic understanding is only adequate for natural science and practical everyday life, not for philosophy.
  2. Dialectic reason s not concerned with Kant’s “transcendent”, nor with the abstract “mutilated” parts of reality, but with reality as a totality, and therefore gives true knowledge.

What is Knowing?

Knowing, for Hegel, is something you do. It is an act. But it is also presence of mind. Hegel seems to hold out the vision, even the experience, of thinking as self-presence. Of being present to, or with, oneself of being fully self-possessed, self-aware. Of self-consciousness as a huge cosmic accomplishment.

Reading Hegel gives one a sense that the movement of thought will coincide with a vision of harmony that awaits us at the end of the whole process. Every serious reader of Hegel can bear witness to the intoxication of such moments.

Absolute Knowledge, in the form of the complete self-consciousness and self-possession of spirit, is only available at the end-point of the think process. But there is no distinction possible between the driving energy of thought and this sense of harmony and fulfilment in the whole. It is ultimately the universal which has the upper hand. As Hegel’s Logic puts it …

Everything depends on the “identity of identity and non-identity”.

In philosophy, the latest birth of time is the result of all the systems that have preceded it, and must include their principles: and so, if, on other grounds, it deserves the title of philosophy, it will be the fullest, most comprehensive, and most adequate system of all.

    > The Hegelian dialectic is the framework for guiding our thoughts and actions into conflicts that lead us to a predetermined solution.

It’s a paradox to think dialectic has a “predetermined solution.” Or it’s just a lie to say so.

This is a cycle that has repeated itself down through history. With the invention of high tech computerized communications systems, which are solutions brought about through the application of this dialectic, the process of this dialectic is sped up and the advanced systems themselves introduce information that create conflicts and chaos. This is called the “Nova Mechanism”. Conflicts are enflamed and used to justify, in the minds of the public, the introduction of predetermined solutions and innovations.

This tactic has been around for centuries. Chaosatanic Magick has also been around for centuries. Its known as “Quantum Physics” today.

“Hegel for Beginners” is the source? Jesus. More idiocy from the illiterate. People, don’t read someone’s assnine interpretation of 19th century philosophers. Read Hegel, Marx, Weber, Durkheim, Horkhemier and Adorno for yourselves. Their collective “school of thought” is called “Critical Theory”. As in “critical thinking”…something that the author of this story does not want you to know. This is more Teabag dribble. To sum up “Critical Theory”, it is a “helpful” explanation of what “is”. Each author is only “one” slice of a whole pie. Believe me, it’s a lot of books, and the historical period makes all of them challenging. The big error that keeps proliferating all over this site, is that the dialectic of Capitalism is “naturally” socicalism. WRONG! The dialectic (evolution) of Capitalism, is FASCISM! Fascism is the collusion of big business with big government…sound familiar? It “can” be totalitarian…but, it doesn’t have to…as America today is the flavor of “Friendly Fascism”. Militarism is applied around the globe to “keep us safe”. But when all the “bad guys” are gone…they turn on Americans. Sound familiar? Say it with me…F – A – S – C – I – S – M….you don’t need a stack of 19th century philosophy writings to see, taste and feel it. It’s here…and propaganda wars is the gasoline that drives the engine. This story above is gasoline…telling you twisted lies, so you still “buy into” Capitalism, bankster, Zionist, consumerism to fuel the cabal. Looking back, I sure wish the “hippes” were a little more clean cut so that Libertarians could see that they were on the same team. Take the crooks and Fascism out of the US economy, and a “free” market….that would penalize monopoly, bad business, low wages, unsafe products, and environmental disaster…would be the first “true” Capitalism this country has ever seen. But keep the 1% as is, and it turns to Fascism. Their wealth was made on the blood of generations of slaves. You can’t just allow them to start with all of that stolen wealth as if they “earned” it. So, that is why Liberals advocate “regulation” of crooks…so “we” (the 99%) can be free. Libertarians want a “free” society without government. Sounds like utopia. How can it work with us monkeys…and greed…and envy…and brutality…and weapons…and hierarchy? If we “start” anything new….it will be staring from “now”. And “now”…is all of the above. How can you start with all of that crap and take away the ref? It is not an easy answer, and I am asking seriously…because I have racked my brain for half a century over “how” can we live together…in peace….respecting each other enough not to harm…as we would not want to be harmed? How?

i’m glad someone else is speaking my language. you are absolutely correct. in fact, i’d like to clarify even further: marx WENT BEYOND hegel’s formulation of the dialectic. the end result/goal of the dialectic of hegel was the preservation of civil society. subsequently, the structural antagonisms inherent within any historical period are not abolished/negated, but rather the conflict is resolved and the antagonisms laid to rest (refer to mészáros, ‘social structure and forms of consciousness’ vol. ii). within marxism, the dialectical conflict (the “overriding moment”) is meant to eliminate the antagonisms that create the conflict, in the first place. subsequently, the abolition of capitalism means the abolition of both the capitalists and the working class (as the workers are a product of the circuit of capitalist production). furthermore, the dialectic isn’t “cut & dry” (vulgar materialism) “cause & effect.” rather, there are many variables throughout all facets of society that contribute to a larger, intricate, dialectical process. thus, the dialectic is comprised of numerous variables AND numerous subset dialectical processes, within a larger conflict. just as with darwinian evolution (refer to marx’s dissertation on the greek atomists; epicurus: the culmination of the random movements of multiple variables), there is no determined end, determined result, or determined conflict at such & such moment. the “overriding moment” is a random occurrence, HOWEVER, it is the free will/choice of individuals residing within a historical epoch to “take the reigns of history” and abolish the structural antagonisms within the totality of an epoch (in our case, capitalism).

      i recommend:
lukács, georg. ‘history and class consciousness,’ and in particular, the essay “reification and the consciousness of the proletariat.”

lukács, georg. ‘the destruction of reason.’

      lukács, georg. ‘the young hegel’

mészáros, istván. ‘social structures and forms of consciousness,’ vols. i & ii

      foster, john bellamy. ‘marx’s ecology.’

feenberg, andrew. ‘lukács, marx and the sources of critical theory.’

The HD technique is pure Satanism; incredibly intelligent and viciously diabolical. As of Dec. 21, 2012, the tenure of the elite/PTB/Satanists, came to an end. This will now play out in an ever increasing painful manner to the Satanists. Earth is no longer a prison/slave planet, as it has been for the past 200,000 years. As of Dec 21,2012, Earth advanced from being a Level 0 to a Level 1 civilization. This means, many good things will happen to Earth but there will be a very difficult time first, as the Satanists become more visible in their true nature, as they grasp the significance of what has happened. Expect even more draconian laws, horrendous false flags, the initiation of horrible disease and world war. They have been denied the use of their beloved thermonuclear weapons A conventional war will be started but it will fizzle quickly. The changeover for Earth, will take about 100 years, the time for those that will not be part of Level 1, to die. Only those of higher consciousness, will be reincarnating to Earth and we have all seen quite an influx already, such as Indigo children. In 2013, we will see monumental changes, including the purging of the planet by great destruction. Think of it as a cleanup, needed to ready Earth for a completely new way. The STS aliens have been shooed from interfering, during this very vulnerable time on Earth. We have gained many extremely powerful STO friends when we became Level 1. They are already, very much covering our ass because they know how weak we are how much we are in need. They are doing this because that is who they are and we have joined a very good group, that will help us remake our Earth, to be a truly wonderful place. For those that are immersed in the Kali Yuga and held in the death grip of Satanism, we can hardly imagine what wonderful things will happen but we all understand it, in our hearts, what should happen. Rejoice, we have been freed. Ceau

Thanks for the info….I agree with you. The dialectic thinking could only come from a pure evil mind of the highest dark soul. I think Hegal was just a vessel for the evil. The whole philosophy reeks of control, death and destruction smartly crafted as a “philosophy”

This is the recipe for total control and the Illuminati  has used it on humanity for eons. It doesn’t start with Peace Love and life…It starts with “Problem”…There it is…its manipulation of nature and mind..a technique to manipulate our reality without us knowing it

Something is definitely changing and i fear that, as the more we raise in consciousness, the more destruction the elites have planned for humanity. I think we are in it for a really really bad times ahead..sorry to be negative

  • RAINSCRYPT

hah.. the Hi Def nightmare. a continuing problem today is that of confusing capitalism with corporatism. true capitalism is the way to recovery as a socio-economic system that would bring about real change. what we are experiencing is a massive fraud – those who try to label this burgeoning corporate fascism as capitalism when nothing could be further from the truth. the problem wasn’t so much being government oversight as it was corporatist infiltration into government that has corrupted this country. the power of the individual and in turn, the power of all individuals is what creates the empowered collective.. a collective comprised of free individuals.

  • kestrel

Great commentary Willie Boy. Thank you.

    • deadred1

There is nothing wrong with the HD. What we are seeing should be taken apart by the Sociologists. We would find that Mob Theory has taken over here, as it does in any ideology. What works well on an individual level, if applied properly, morphs into something unrecognizable by the time the PTB get hold of it. We have said for many years that Democracy is the best system in the world, but look how pols and lawyers have twisted our system into something it isn’t. I am not a Communist, because it is Godless. Now the tail wags the dog, so to speak, as we watch our rights float down the river to who knows where. The author takes everything to a purely rhetorical level, and by that methods he mimics the actions of those he rails against.
