Eat Your Peas, You Bitter Clingers That Didn’t Build That

Apparently Paul Ryan is trotting out some of the Lightworker’s golden oldies on the hustings.

Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) began resurrecting some of President Obama’s most famous gaffes on the campaign trail Tuesday, reminding a crowd assembled at a Pennsylvania steel plant of the president’s remark four years ago that some voters are “clinging to their guns and religion.”

“Remember this other time when he said people want to cling to their guns and religion?” Ryan said. “Hey, I’m a Catholic deer hunter, I’m happy to be clinging to my guns and religion.”

Shall we help the Honorable Gentleman from Wisconsin out by putting some more of the Lightworker’s greatest hits in the suggestion box, so the campaign can be a non-stop reel of Obama’s True Thoughts that the media would love to remain way way down in the memory hole?

I’ll make the first suggestion and leave it to the SABNation to pile on -  Eat Your Peas.

Well, it’s now official: “Hope and change” has become “eat your peas.” President Barack Obama’s petulant, partisan performance Monday night completed his evolution from the transcendent figure of 2008 to “my way or the highway.”

He pledged to veto any deficit reduction plan that didn’t raise taxes. This from the same president who agreed to extend the Bush tax cuts while Democrats controlled both houses of Congress.

Of course, I say Dear Leader should eat his own bleeping peas.  It’s my money we’re talking about and you’ve piled up bushels of peas for me and mine to eat for generations to come. So why don’t you scarf down a couple trillion helpings of smaller government, fewer Utopian social experiments and restrained power over my life.
