Especially at the local city level, it has little to do with political party and much more to do with corruption. The same thing is true all the way up the chain, only on the national level -the influence and power of these corrupt individuals and interests are able to put a slightly better shine on it. The sad fact of the matter, is that the Republicans and Democrats are the same thing, with the only real difference being the spin they put on their lies. Both parties are advancing the interests of the elite, at the expense of the people and if you think somehow that Republicans would do a better job than the democrats, then you are just as confused as the Obamatards. Here is something to chew on, most urban areas are heavily blue, thus it is much more likely that mayors of most bigger cities would be democrats.
May I point out that all of these cities are “majority minority” and all of them are governed by minorities. White Flight to the suburbs to flee the violence and crime of the inner cities has taken the stable tax base away and left only shuttered buildings and decay. At one time, when Detroit was 90% white, it was called the “Paris of the West”. But after the riots and subsequent white flight, parts of Detroit now look like Mogadishu. But of course we can’t tell the truth about this, we have to wrap it up in politically correct terms and blame the “democrats” instead of facing the real race issues which still plague our nation.
Riches cities all have Democratic Mayors, and btw, the Mayor really can’t do much about how the city is economically, congress does though, and Republicans tend to make areas not user friendly by destroying schools, closing down companies and sending them overseas, stop funding for public libraries, parks and environmental protections…..etc. all which look attractive to a possible place to live for any family.
I noticed another trend that is non-bipartisan.These cities are swamped by illegal aliens.Over half are overpopulated by former growth periods when they made things(they used to manufacture products that people bought for money),and the northern ones are Union towns!Democrat minded people flourished under these conditions,true,but there was never really any difference between the parties,unless you believe the lies that the media produces for you.Everything has changed for the uppity Yankee,but nothing has really changed,except for the pieces on the chessboard.
What do they have in common? THAT THEY ARE STILL RICHER THAN SOME OF THE RICHEST PEOPLE IN MOST OF THE OTHER COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD. QUIT YOUR COMPLAINING. MINIMUM WAGE PER HOUR IN THE USA IS MORE THAN MOST PEOPLE MAKE IN A DAY IN OTHER COUNTRIES, SO STOP COMPLAINING.
What a bunch of baloney!!! There is no real difference between Donkeys and Elephants! The coming election will make no difference either.
