100 Years Of Income Taxes (A Simple Infographic)
How’d you like to pay 94% of your income to the federal government? I don’t care how rich one is. That is criminal. (Even if no one really paid 94%.)
Believe it or not, this pretty good data comes from Whitehouse.org. I think they were trying to make a “fair share” point. See rates were higher back in the good old days (but I thought they weren’t so good) so we should have higher taxes on income now so that the government can “generate revenue,” i.e., take more of your stuff legally.
My feeling is that the whole debate is moot since the Fed is just printing like mad anyway. I mean, why not just lower the tax rates to 0% and let the Fed print us the money we need instead. But, oh my, that would be reckless.
Another important point to be made about taxes is that income taxes are paid by those out there working. Those of us who hustle our posteriors to make clients happy and build our businesses and make sales are the ones who pay income taxes.
It’s not the rich. And I don’t mean the “wealthy.” I mean the rich.
As Ludwig von Mises observed, many who are rich have no problem at all with high rates of income tax. Their wealth is locked away in land and other investments. What better way to keep the “new rich” in their place than by taxing their income?http://www.againstcronycapitalism.org

WOW is this chart nonsense. After you get done paying taxes on what you earn, what you buy, what you eat, where you live, what you drive, what you wear, what you do for fun, every single thing in between, the death tax and the indirect tax of fractional reserve lending and money printing – the real rate eventually easily surpasses 85%.
They collect sixty cents a gallon in tax on gas. 60% of every lottery pool is tax. It’s taxed when you earn it, when you spend it, then it’s taxed again on the person you gave it to, then again when they spend it etc forever. At a 10% sales tax rate california collects nearly 100% of what you just spent around the 13th transaction.
You also never own property. You could buy a house, pay for it in cash – but the minute you stop paying taxes on it, they’ll come take it from you. If you leave it to your kids, if they don’t give the government half of what it’s worth in taxes when you die, they’ll take it from them.
We all think getting a couple hundred bucks back every April is pretty exciting… that is without a doubt the greatest con of all time.

What is the difference between robber, business man and the politician? Robers break the law and so is a crime but a business man robs but accepted as normal because he/she confined binary of the law. Politicians make the law that allow them to rob your hard earned money.
When I started calculating the amount left for me to spend after paying all the taxes, I realised I am left with only 5p { 50p (tax) + 25p VAT + 5p Council Tax + 10p NI + 10p – Car, TV Licence, Parking or Speeding fines} so just imaging how you can live if you pay 90% Income tax?
Crazy system but some one must think of a way to live without these politicians and their law.
Isn’t Socialism wonderful? If you finally give up and join the taker class you can live a sustainance existance on everyone elses labor!! It must look pretty good to most Americans because they just re-elected a Marxist as President here!
What bothers me the most when it all boils down is the stolen life. Our time on earth is the most valuable thing we have. Nearly all of our time is being stolen by a tiny group of dirty politicians and given away to a class of slaves being bred to vote. Why on earth does anyone agree to this? What do you get in return? The roads are a disaster, the schools are a joke, the borders are porous and when you call the police they show up just in time to draw a chalk outline around the body. I know they give us the whole Robin Hood speech about ‘fair share’ but I wouldn’t pay 90% of what I make on a car that didn’t run – why am I paying that much into a system that is completely broken, useless and corrupt that does absolutely nothing for us in return? We’re not free anymore by any stretch of the imagination, intelligence is dying of loneliness and instead of the Jetson’s-like future we all imagined, our kids are looking down the barrel of a stone-throwing, rubble-dwelling, socialist, welfare, sharia nightmare. So again, why am I willingly contributing so much to the demise of everything I hold dear?
