Oregon Sheriffs Blast Biden: We Won’t Let You Turn Citizens Into Criminals With Unconsitutional Actions By Misguided Politicians

At least two sheriffs in the State of Oregon have written letters to Vice President Joe Biden following his submission of ideas he proposed to Barack Obama concerning more gun control laws. Sheriff Jim Hensley of Crook County and Sheriff Tim Mueller of Linn County sent Biden similar letters in which they concluded that they would not “stand idly by, while my citizens are turned into criminals due to the unconstitutional actions of misguided politicians.”
Sheriff Tim Mueller sent his letter to Biden on January 14 and indicated that he and his deputies swore an oath just like Biden did to support the Constitution of the United States. Mueller, who has served the people of Linn County for over 28 years as a member of the Linn County Sheriff’s Office and three years of active duty as a Military Police Officer in the United States Army, wrote:

These are good and honorable men upholding their sworn duty to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States against ALL enemies foreign and DOMESTIC. I’d like to see EVERY country sheriff here in Oregon pledge the same response as these two, I know Gil Gilbertson of Josephine Country is also on board. Please, fellow Oregonians call, write, or in person notify that you support these other sheriff’s and that you’d stand behind them and back them up. Even going so far as to volunteer as a posse member supporting our sheriffs against federal gov’t unconstitutional and illegal overreach in our counties.
