Alert - Montana Has A Con-Con Bill That Must Be Stopped

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Our County needs your help in stopping the Con-Con.  Once 34 states have passed an Article V Amendment Convention Resolution, then the U.S, Congress will be forced to call a Federal Constitutional Convention.  There is no limit what will take place at the constitutional convention. The convention more or likely will  turn into a runaway convention. Also there is  NO  procedure on how the delegates will be chosen. We must fight the evil forces behind the scene that want to scrap our U.S. Constitution and turn us all into slaves.

Please read the article below from Secure the Republic and make your calls and send email per the instructions  below.

The state of Montana needs our help in contacting their legislators to vote “NO”

on an Article V Amendments Convention, which leads to a Constitutional Convention (Con-Con).

Montana Needs You!

SJ5:   A joint resolution of the Senate and the House of Representatives of the State of Montana providing for the application for an Amendments Convention to the Constitution of the United States to be called for the purpose of proposing an amendment that provides that an increase in the Federal Debt requires approval from a majority of the legislatures of the separate States.

(Namely, a Con-Con.)

SJ5 is being sponsored by Art Wittich.  It was introduced on December 14, 2012 and referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee and read on January 7, 2013.  It was brought up for a hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee on January 23, 2013.

There is no language provided in Article V to limit the power of a Constitutional Convention.  Article V states, “Congress…on the application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments…”.

According to Supreme Court Justice Warren Burger, ”there is no effective way to limit or muzzle the actions of a Constitutional Convention.  The convention could make its own rules and set its own agenda.  Congress might try to limit the convention to one amendment or to one issue, but there is no way to assure that the convention would obey.  After a convention is convened, it will be too late to stop the convention if we don’t like its agenda.  The meeting in 1787 ignored the limit placed by the confederation Congress ‘for the sole and express purpose’.”

Please make your calls today and also first thing Monday morning.  You may also fax these committee members.  Let them know how dangerous a Con-Con really is.  You can find their contact information by clicking on their names here (for Senate Judiciary Committee).  You can also call Senator Wittich at 406-444-4800 or

406-599-9836.

MESSAGE to Sponsor, Senator Wittich: Please table resolution SJ5.  Please don’t put our Constitution at risk by asking Congress to “call a Convention for the purpose of proposing amendments.”  Article V of the Constitution does not provide any way to limit an “amendments convention” or its power.  How can you expect the government to pay any attention to an amendment when they’re trampling on the whole Constitution right now?  Please don’t risk our Constitution.

MESSAGE to Chairman, Senator Murphy: Please do not bring resolution SJ5 up for a vote.

MESSAGE to all other Senators on the Senate Judiciary Committee:

Please vote NO on resolution SJ5.

      Ok, relax, Article 5 states:
The Congress, whenever two thirds of both houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose amendments to this Constitution, or, on the application of the legislatures of two thirds of the several states, shall call a convention for proposing amendments, which, in either case, shall be valid to all intents and purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the legislatures of three fourths of the several states, or by conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other mode of ratification may be proposed by the Congress; provided that no amendment which may be made prior to the year one thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any manner affect the first and fourth clauses in the ninth section of the first article; and that no state, without its consent, shall be deprived of its equal suffrage in the Senate.

Which indicate that to get started, you only need 2/3 which is 50*66%=33 States .
However any changes must be ratified by 3/4 which is 50*.75=37.5 or 38 States. Without the ratification process any changes would be nul and void.

The silly thing is kids think theyre protected by the constitution. You aren’t, you arent a party to it infact a large swath of land isnt even under the jurisdiction of the united states. It’s all a show people, if you live within 100 miles of a coastline you are more than likely under admirality law which does not even recognize the constitution.

They could wipe there asses with the constitution and it wouldnt change the future otcomes of america. Its over people the only check and balance left was the people and everyones to fat and lethargic to stop whats coming. If youre smart youll head to latin america, at least the people are still somewhat god fearing down there and the governemnts are at least kind enough to admit when theyre corrupt.

” the governemnts are at least kind enough to admit when theyre corrupt.”

Yes,and the narco gangs there are “kind enough to admit” that they are hideously murderous
sadists who like to butcher people and leave body parts spread across the countryside in plain view.

How do you find any comfort in such foolishness?

        • Realist

Foolishness? Hardly. The knowledge that there may be bloodthirsty, heavily armed gangers right outside your house gives that extra kick to your life, see…
