Christianity…Marijuana and Gun Rights (Please read if any of these words concern you)

…I felt I had to share my views on this topic…

First…The plant called Marijuana…

One – Genesis 1:29 – Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.” Look it up. Any Christen Bible.

Two – Statistically the recreational use of Alcohol causes more damage to themselves and those around them then the use of this plant.  Matter of fact this plant has been proven to have medical benefits.

Three – This multi-use plant threatened people who in turn and with MUCH foresight used their power to nip their foe in the “bud” so to speak.  They demonized it with untested false accusations.  This is like pointing the finger at a 5 year old and saying you know he’s going to kill someone at 50 and expect action…and they use faith in position to pull it off… (They manipulated faith) Don’t believe me?  Ask the big Fuel corps like Exon… or the all powerful Pharma Lords…anything that can produce cheaply what they charge you hundreds for is bad news in their books.  Look it up.

Four – To those who say it kills the brain and is disreputable…consider this.  Many of America’s Forefathers not only used marijuana they owned fields and saw it as important a plant as corn.  History even says that it was more than just corn some Native tribes shared…it was also a means of protection against evil spirits that would “agitate you” into doing rash things without thought.  It also helped men to commune with the spiritual more easily without ill effect.  These men’s names speak for themselves: Thomas Jefferson who is quoted saying that some of his fondest memories were of him sitting on his deck overlooking America’s vast beauty smoking a marijuana pipe…how about Benjamin Franklin? There are so many more.  Look it up.

Five – Despite proof that the plant has any side effect, none the less harmful, people tend to focus on this alone.  But just like a cold beer appeals to some and not to others each has the right to their choice.  The man who won’t drink beer may love wine or the “real” stuff and that is by far more harmful.  That or he smokes.  These plants enemies got people so upset that they only saw the lie…and completely overlooked the very reasons those enemies were so afraid. 

Every item I mention is made by THIS plant…effectively, cheaply and in most cases superiorly:

Cloth and other woven materials.  Fuel that researchers say could have replaced the need for oil and gasoline at a 100th the price.  Medications and topic oils…all proven effective and more importantly safe with prolonged use…Good luck getting that with Vicaden if you have a lifetime left of pain to face and you value your liver.  It has brought clarity to the autistic and peace of mind to those whose minds won’t rest.  I could go on and on. 

But despite each of our own personal opinions on this plant…in the end…it is still only our opinion.  We must try to remember that.  Those of us who say that we care about being about to make our own personal choices…think about all the ways we tout “choice” as our right.  This should be enough to turn the other cheek.  Like it or not to say anything else is hypocritical at best.

Now…all this said I know that there are MANY who will agree with me…and some prejudices cannot be unlearned and those will disagree.  Anyhow this part I am confident that the rest of you will find soled reasoning regardless.

We all know that I strike a chord for those who defend marijuana rights and like it or not those numbers are apparently great enough to be winning over states…over a dozen now have some sort of legal marijuana laws.  What will happen when that carrot is dangled over America?  How many will be willing to give up gun rights to see this actually useful plant legal?  I myself am for the Constitution and our collective rights all the way around.  I will not trade what should already be legal for my rights…never.

My whole reason lay in the very first reason I mentioned.  It was the biblical one if you remember.  Being a Christian means…that Gods reason is the ONLY reason you need…EVEN IF YOU DON’T AGREE…we must NEVER second guess God…That was the sin that cast the Fallen to where they lay and God calls it a sin of Pride.  Learning to accept this as a child is what He meant when HE spoke of believing like a child.  Remember that.
