Gun Control Done Properly

It’s not the guns of Civilians that need to be registered, controlled, managed and thorough background checks made on their holders with the right to withdraw permission to have them based on behavior. It’s the GOVERNMENT’S guns that need to be regulated. The Constitution enshrines the pre-existing Right of the People of the United States to keep and bear arms. It says nothing whatsoever about the government having such a right. In fact there is not a single word in the Constitution that gives the Federal government any Law Enforcement authority at all. Not one word. Zip. Zero, NADA. Law Enforcement is a power reserved for State government, not Federal.

We as civilians, citizens of the united States HAVE the Right to keep and bear arms. It says so on our Founding documents and that is not a Right GRANTED by the Constitution. It is a Right by natural law that pre-dated the Constitution and is listed in it for the purpose of reminding the Federal government that it is specifically prohibited BY the Constitution from infringing on that pre-existing Right.

The Constitution, however, does not extend the right to keep and bear arms to the Federal government, only to the PEOPLE of the United States.
