   Gupta: Let’s end the prescription drug death epidemic  “If you asked any guy on the street what the leading cause of accidental death is, they would guess gunshot or car accident,” said Tom McLellan, co-founder of the Treatment Research Institute, a nonprofit organization advocating for improvements in substance abuse policies. “They would never imagine it’s pharmaceutical opioids (painkillers).”

   On Dec. 14, on the afternoon of the mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., and after a spate of public mass shootings, President Obama said that “we’re going to have to come together and take meaningful action to prevent more tragedies like this, regardless of the politics.” He didn’t say “gun control,” but there was little doubt that’s what he meant.

   Five days later, Obama announced in a press conference that he had tapped Vice President Joe Biden to lead a team to “come up with a set of concrete proposals” to “reduce the epidemic of gun violence that plagues this country.” Obama talked about the need to make it easier to access mental health care as well as the need to “look more closely at a culture that all too often glorifies guns and violence.”

   With sheriff’s across the country lining up, drawing a constitutional line in the proverbial sand, this will be an all out power struggle to retain the 2nd Amendment right to bear arms.   Homeland Security Terrorism Department is arming itself to the teeth in preparation for what can only be a potential attack on America; we need to preserve our 2nd Amendment.

What is missing from the gun debate?

   Just imagine for a moment, that congress and the president and all his czars had to publicly acknowledge the hundreds and hundreds of thousands of deaths and injuries caused by toxic pharmaceuticals each year!  All approved safe and effective by the FDA!

   Gun deaths accounted for in the FBI Uniform Crime Report, between 2006 and 2010 ,856 people were murdered in the U.S. by firearms.  Its unfortunate that we cannot get the FBI to do a Uniform Deadly Medication Report.

Guns vs Vioxx !!

   In the period between 2001 and 2004, Vioxx, manufactured by Merck killed a hundred thousand individuals.  Actually the death toll from Vioxx is still rolling.

   Conservative writer and activist Ron Unz  has concluded that data indicate that the death toll from Vioxx was closer to 500,000 just in 2004.

What?  No fake public polls saying the public was in favor of Vioxx control?

   The year after Vioxx was pulled from the market, the New York Times and other mainstream media outlets were running minor news items, usually down-column, noting that American death rates had undergone a striking and completely unexpected decline. 

   Typical was the headline on a short article that ran in the 19 April 2005 edition of USA Today: ‘USA Records Largest Drop in Annual Deaths in at Least 60 Years.’ During that one year, American deaths fell by 50,000 despite the growth in both the size and the age of the nation’s population. Government health experts were quoted as being greatly “surprised” and “scratching [their] heads” over this strange anomaly, which was led by a sharp drop in fatal heart attacks.

     Vioxx is now history.  Bextra, another “COX-2 inhibitor” anti-inflammatory drug, is under suspicion, Celebrex is the third and last COX-2 inhibitor that remains untarnished, but many experts and the FDA are wondering whether it too causes increased risks of heart attacks and strokes.

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, one person dies from a drug overdose every 19 minutes or 75.78 people each day die from perscription drugs. That is A staggering number of deaths, yet there is no talk of these deaths by mainstream media. Why?

Those numbers are significant enough to make prescription drugs one of the leading causes of accidental death in this county. It’s a statistic that has led some experts to call prescription drug abuse an epidemic.

Accidental prescription drug overdoses is “the only epidemic that I know that has been recognized by the DEA, FDA, CDC and the White House Office of Drug Control,” McLellan said.

If you are a big pharmaceutical company with thousands of lobbyists crawling like maggots on the corpse that is the District of Criminals, you can kill all the people you like with what you know to be deadly and lethal medications.

No banks will refuse to do business with you, the UN won’t be colluding with our government to end your right to manufacturer and sell Perscription Drugs.  There will not be one Mainstream Media talking head who will even mention shutting down the operations of Merck and holding the corporate leaders and scientists accountable for all these deaths for no other reason than, profit.  These privilged S.O.B’s will never be charged with even one murder and hundreds will continue to die as a result of known lethal medications.

If anything horrible should result from the use of these killer drugs, you can always point the finger somewhere else as to the cause.  Just keep those “campaign contributions” amounting to Billions upon Billions rolling in to the coffers of those political whores in the District, and you can get away with murder….for real.

Where is your outrage over the hundreds of thousands of deaths each year that result from FDA approved and declared safe, pharmaceuticals?  Where is your outrage and your demand for change regarding the drugging of our children and the elderly: many to the point of death.  Why are you not outraged over the use of psychotropic medications that cause suicidal and/or homicidal ideation in children deemed too young to be forced onto these drugs, and what is referred to as brainstorms that cause aggressive, violent and psychotic behavior?  Why are you not outraged and demanding change over the hundreds of thousands of deaths each year from the use of known toxic pharmaceuticals?

Maybe because the government run mainstream media is not reporting on these facts. Their agenda is to disarm America. Demonize Guns and gun owners, who are law abidding citizens. Wake up America, this may be your last chance?

The Dangers of Psychiatric Drugs

The number of people needlessly hurt or killed by prescription drugs has become staggering. A recent study in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) found that in one year, over two million patients suffered serious drug reactions, resulting in 106,000 deaths. Another article in JAMA estimated that only 1 in 20 reactions are reported. Prescription drugs are the fourth leading cause of death in the U.S.

Drug makers claim that antidepressants are not “habit forming” but fail to mention that all antidepressants can cause withdrawal. People often do not realize that withdrawal is causing their symptoms.

Dr. Grace Jackson opines: “There is no rational science behind what they think is the cause of these symptoms. The medications that are being given to people are, without exception, introducing chemicals that are altering the brain in ways which can be damaging. I’ll go a step farther, that in the absence of a proven chemical imbalance for which the medication is, quote, ‘re-balancing or fixing’, the medications are in fact toxic.”

Dr. Moira Dolan, M.D added: “So here we have hostility, paranoia, agitation, combined with the akathisia, which is the sense that I’ve got to do something, and you can see how these can all add up to irrational murders. The string of school shootings that we have seen is strictly a phenomena that coincides with the massive use of antidepressant drugs over the past 15 to 20 years. It was not something that was seen in the 20 years earlier. In the 20 years that we have seen an increase in mass murders and people who are chemically altered by antidepressant medications, there’s been nothing but an increase in gun control.”
