Climate Change is Real

Although there are many skeptics, the fact is climate change is very real.  In 2000, IPPC contributor (Intergovernmental panel on Climate Change) said that “within a few years, winter snowfall will become a very rare and exciting  event.” Sadly, he predicted, “children just aren’t going to know what snow is.”  In 2006, Russian scientist, Khabibullo Abdusamatov, predicted the coming of a new Ice Age.  The group of scientists that Abdusamatov heads predicted that from 2012 to 2015, the earth would cool significantly and that a 60 year cold period that will be another Little Ice Age.

So why such a difference of opinion?  Simple, global warming nut jobs depend on the use of highly questionable global warming models, while the Russian Academy of Science studies the sun.  But didn’t the global warming nut jobs say the sun had negligible effects on the Earth’s weather?  Why, I believe they did.  In fact, when many scientists made the claim that the sun actually gives off cosmic rays that build up the Earth’s cloud cover, the global warming nut jobs laughed at them.

CERN built an atmospheric chamber that duplicated the Earth’s and bombarded it with cosmic rays exactly like the sun produces.  The result was that clouds increased in size at a multiple of 10.  The problem global warming nut jobs had was they couldn’t very well accuse CERN of incompetence.  CERN developed the internet, built the Large Hadron Collider and recently discovered the Higgs Boson, also known as the God Particle.  The term CERN is also used to refer to the laboratory, which employs just under 2,400 full-time employees, 1,500 part-time employees, and hosts some 10,000 visiting scientists and engineers, representing 608 universities and research facilities and 113 nationalities.  Quite an impressive resume isn’t it?

And about all those dire predictions that our children wouldn’t know what snow is?  The Northern Hemisphere experienced the largest snow cover in December since satellites were used to measure snow cover in 1966.  In Moscow, snow cover was the highest it’s been in 134 years of monitoring.  In Kiev, they had to use military vehicles to clear the streets of snow.  In Great Britain, they had the coldest winter in 50 years and in the United States over 1,000 records were broken for cold.  And may I remind you that was in 2012, just as the Russian scientists predicted in 2006.

In 2010, the United States received back to back blizzards which dumped 20-35 inches and 10-20 inches within a three day period.  To further burst the bubble of global warming nut jobs was the claims they made that increased tornado and hurricane activity were a result of global warming and they held up Katrina and Sandy as prime examples. But the tornados are not increasing in number or intensity and hurricane levels are at their lowest point in 40 years.

And what about the ice caps, we are told are melting?  Well, in March Arctic ice is 3% below normal but Antarctic is has increased by 24%.  It is not a good time for the global warming nut job global cooling deniers.
