Do you know anyone who has been visited by the Secret Service? I do!

Sometime in 2012, I stumbled across Tom Francios. I can’t remember if it was on facebook or twitter because I ended up following him on both. He is extremely outspoken. He absolutely does not like Obama and what he is doing to the country. He creates hilarious pictures which you may have seen being shared on facebook or twitter. He adds his name to the pictures that he creates.

Anyway, a couple months back, Tom told me that he’d been paid a visit by the Secret Service over his internet posts. I really could not understand why. I’ve never seen anything threatening to Obama. I never saw anything that should hurt more than Obama’s feelings or just plain piss him off. I shared a lot of Tom’s posts and tweets myself. Obama does have a mighty big ego and very thin skin. He really really does not like it when he feels a push back.

I am thinking that somebody had their ego injured because the Secret Service came banging on Tom’s door. They had him sign a consent form to search his home, ran a background check, asked to see his legally owned weapons, had him sign a consent to examine his medical records, Went through a pile of papers that contained his tweets about Obama. Questioned him as to if he had intentions to ‘whack’ the President and told him that they would be back for his guns if he stepped over the line.

They also went to his daughters house and questioned her about her dad and terrified the crap out of her.

Tom not only made copies of the consent forms (which I’ve seen) that the Secret Service had him sign but he has video of the them arriving at and leaving his home as well.

Where are we headed as a nation if we can’t express our opinions on how our country is run?

This was an ordeal for Tom and his daughter. This was an unnecessary invasion of their privacy. Maybe if the Secret Service had spent less time targeting people that Obama considers his enemies and targeted those that they had previous intelligence as well as warnings from other countries on, we would not have had the Boston bombings.
