Kenyan Leaders Slam President Obama’s Gay Remarks

During his African visit, Pres. Obama managed to lecture African leaders on the “new American virtues” and urged them to be more open to homosexual behavior and gay marriage.

Obama’s comments didn’t go over to well with most Africans who embrace traditional marriage and the Christian faith.

Kenyan president Uhuru Kenyatta and deputy president William Ruto slammed Obama’s remarks at separate religious events.

Addressing a congregation Sunday, Ruto said Kenya will uphold its strong religious beliefs on homosexuality.

“This country, the nation of Kenya, is a God-fearing nation,” Ruto said.

Homosexuality is illegal in Kenya, where 90 percent of people believe homosexuality is wrong, according to the Pew Research Center.

“Those who believe in other things, that is their business,” Ruto said, referring to Obama’s comments in support of gay marriage. “We believe in God.”

 

In the past, American Christians sent thousands of missionaries to Africa to proclaim the message of Christ. But the trend seems to be reversed as American continues to spiral into moral depravity and US churches continue to compromise the Gospel.

An African mega-church pastor and international evangelist Heward-Mills wants to send missionaries to the United States.

“We’ll be coming here bringing the Gospel and a message of loyalty and faithfulness,” said. “Faithfulness to God’s will and His Word and faithfulness and loyalty in the church. We’re coming to America with that powerful message.”

“The main work of the church is to bring people to Jesus. I don’t think we are doing that,” Heward-Mills said. “We are basically teaching people how to have a good life, how to be happy, have good families, how to prosper, how to be secure and how to be safe. No one obviously who has been taught such ideals wants to give up their life and go to the ends of the earth. No one wants to go out of their way to do that because it is contrary to what many churches are teaching.”
