It’s been just over seven months since a Florida jury acquitted Zimmerman of second-degree murder and manslaughter charges in the Trayvon Martin murder trial. In a recent interview with CNN he told of how he still gets death threats, accused of being a racist and still on trial in the eyes of public opinion.

It doesn’t help that he has continued to have run-ins with the law keeping his name plastered in the headlines. As he continues to proclaim his innocence he went to to say that he was a scapegoat for “the government, the President, the attorney general.”

“I’d like to professionally … continue my education and hopefully become an attorney,” he said. “I think that’s the best way to stop the miscarriage of justice that happened to me from happening to somebody else. I don’t think it should ever happen to anyone ever again, not one person.”
