John Bennett – Calling Out Eric Holder

Have I mentioned my dislike of Eric Holder lately? I think I may have, in passing, at least a couple of times. I don’t care for the man or his total disregard for the law he is supposed to be upholding. He had a trip planned to address graduates from the police academy in Oklahoma City, but that has since been canceled, due to the protest following the announcement of the trip. That’s good with me, as it is with most Oklahomans. We have no use for the liberal and/or progressive agenda in Oklahoma and Eric Holder’s brand of progressivism has a particularly bad stench to it.

State Representative John Bennett, whom I know and support and who just won an unopposed 3rd term to the Oklahoma House, spoke at a rally to protest Eric Holder and his planned visit to our great state. To use his own words, here is what he said, just in case the liberal media decides to misquote him. This is from his Facebook page and he lays out, in detail, some of the issues so many of us have with Obama’s Attorney General. I call him that because he is clearly not presenting the law, but rather Obama’s, and his own, liberal agenda.

“I, John Bennett, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.”

As a 20 year Veteran of the United States Marine Corps I take this oath Very Seriously and consider it a slap in the face when public officials such as Eric Holder abuse their powers and do not abide by the oath he has taken. We… All office holders take this oath or a similar oath, and the ability to take that oath and hold office in the greatest country on earth is protected by our men and women in Uniform!

We the people are here today to voice Our concerns and let Eric Holder and others like him know that we Don’t Want you in our great state! We also want you to know that Before you raise your right hand, make sure you understand what you are swearing or attesting to. The oath of office should not be taken lightly.

You, Mr. Holder have taken an oath. “I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States……. “ I believe the AG has forgotten or not  taken his oath seriously! Power is never vested in just one man.

Even the powers of the man in the Oval Office depend on internal checks and balances. A president alone cannot violate the law. His cabinet has to aid him in that task. The man who stands at Obama’s side, the man who aids and abets his lawbreaking more than any other, is Attorney General Eric Holder.

Holder is the man who is truly accountable for Obama’s lawlessness because it is his responsibility to hold Obama accountable. Instead Holder has descended into entirely new areas of lawlessness. Instead of acting to enforce the law, he has become the enemy of the law. Eric Holder has corroded the rule of law, abused power and he deserves to be impeached! Holder has provided multiple reasons why he is unfit to serve as Attorney General and that he is a radical that keeps pushing the envelope!

This should be unsurprising to anyone who has followed Holder’s career. Holder is driven by a radical progressive view of the law, and by contempt for conservatives. He is hostile to the rule of law, at least as traditionally understood by Americans.

Holder once said to a gathering of the American  Constitution Society the “nation must be convinced that it is a progressive future that holds the greatest promise for equality and the continuation of those policies that serve to support the greatest number of our people.”

Progressivism, is hostility toward constitutional restraints on the power of government, and it enchants our Attorney General. Basically what he said in plain language is that he doesn’t care what the Constitution says unless he can use it to HIS benefit!

Did you know he also said conservatives “have made a mockery of the rule of law.”

But Holder’s record demonstrates it is he who has made a mockery out of the rule of law. His tenure at the Justice Department overflows with abuse of power, appeals to racial division, and disregard of the constitutional balance of powers.

Let me name a few examples: He Took Sides in George Zimmerman Trial and made Federal Threats.

Eric Holder has demonstrated contempt for the rule of law, but also contempt for Congress. Holder’s contempt for the legitimate constitutional oversight authority of the Congress is so extreme, that the House of Representatives voted to find him in contempt of Congress on June 28, 2012. Even  House Democrats voted to find Holder in contempt of Congress.

Unfortunately, Holder’s Justice Department behaves as if it is above the law, and appears to show no loyalty to the Constitution, oath or no oath to uphold it.

He failed to Prosecute IRS Officials These actions by IRS officials are federal felonies. Holder has an obligation to have them investigated and charged, but instead has done nothing about the IRS targeting of conservative groups.

His department has a personal vendetta against Fox News and James Rosen. Eric Holder authorized a criminal investigation against James Rosen of Fox News. This provides an example where progressives often engage in projection.

Eric Holder cannot be trusted to tell the truth, even when under oath and when the entire nation is watching him.

He Manipulated the 2012 Elections and Opposition to Election Integrity. The gravest and most long-lasting damage that Eric Holder has done to the nation is his manipulation of the electoral process, particularly before the 2012 presidential election. Eric Holder allowed that election to take place with over 4,000,000 ineligible voters on the rolls. The left-leaning Pew Foundation issued a report showing that voter rolls around the country were polluted with dead and ineligible voters. Holder is obliged to enforce federal laws which require states to remove these ineligible voters from the rolls before a federal election. Instead, Holder has a philosophical objection to these laws and he refuses to enforce them.

Not only has Eric Holder openly and blatantly committed the afore-mentioned offenses, he has decided on his own choosing to Not defend the Defense of Marriage Act, and has advocated for same-sex marriage. Due to his actions and supporting the repeal of DOMA the courts have been enticed to legislate from the bench and rule that DOMA is unconstitutional!

The federal overreach coming from the Obama Administration and the support of Attorney General Eric Holder has to stop! Here in

Oklahoma the voters Overwhelmingly voted in favor of amending Our State Constitution to define Marriage as being One Man and One Woman. We did that because we believe that this great nation, starting here in Oklahoma has to put God first in All we do. The bible is Oklahomans blue print to life and I would recommend to the Attorney General that he use Gods word as his guideline in life. I recommend he start with Mark 10:6-9 which says But at the beginning of creation God made them male and female. For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united with his wife, and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, LET NO MAN SEPARATE!

What gives you – Attorney General Holder – the right to Decide that you can override God’s law! How dare you impede on our sovereignty and the will of the people in Oklahoma! Guess what Mr. Holder we don’t want you here in Oklahoma! Stay Out!

Eric Holder is the Ivy League schooled lawyer representing the hopes and dreams of the progressive mob and race hustlers. He displays the

same contempt for the law as does the mob calling for racial vengeance. He is skilled at using power and position to protect political friends and harm political enemies. Holder’s version of justice is foreign to these American shores, and to our American age.

Eric Holder is a menace to the rule of law and the individual liberty it protects. He should not only be run out of his office and impeached, but hounded forever by liberty-loving Americans exposing his behavior until he is deprived of clients after he leaves the Justice Department.

When the chief law enforcement official of the United States shows no respect whatsoever for the rule of law and shows no respect whatsoever for the state constitutions of the duly passed laws of sovereign states, then the last thing we should do is ask him to speak in our great state.

Eric Holder is the most political U.S. attorney general ever to occupy the office. In the service of Barack Obama’s radical liberal agenda Holder has become not only the nation’s top law enforcement officer, but one of its premier lawbreakers! As a person who has worked in law enforcement, I believe we are doing a disservice to the graduates who have chosen to protect Oklahoma, by allowing a law breaking hypocrite such as Eric Holder to speak to them at  their police academy graduation.

Mr. Attorney General – We in Oklahoma love God, Guns, and Freedom and YOU are NOT welcome here!!

I think John Bennett summed it up nicely. I am glad he represents me in Oklahoma City and proud to call him a friend. I just wish we had more like him in Washington.
