Friend of this site, Tom Lester, has been busy recently and his communications affected. Here is some commentary from Tom and seeing through the political scam:

 

How many times have we heard politicians say, “We have to do more!”  Contrar, my friend!  This is one of the biggest pieces of BS continually perpetrated on the American public.

 

It’s politically toxic today for the truthful politician who says, “We have to do less!”  Under the auspices of protecting and helping America, governments have created far more problems than are ever solved.  So the low information voters, more concerned of who will win the latest “Dancing with the Stars” extravaganza than the accountability of their elected officials, keep hearing the same repeated rhetoric and returning the same individuals to government.  That’s insanity!  That’s the equivalent of finding what doesn’t work and repeating the same action expecting different, beneficial results.

 

Unintended and unforeseen consequences have invariably reared its ugly head with almost every piece of legislation the state and Federal politicians enact.  Some become evident virtually overnight, like Obamacare, while some take years to manifest themselves, like Social Security and the Federal Reserve.

But these unintended and unforeseen consequences become the politicians’ opportunity to then shout, “We have to do more!”  Perpetually the simple interpretation truly means they want to press for even further regulation in a still further expanded bureaucracy and they’re going to foolishly throw more of your tax dollars at the problems they’ve earlier created.

And the politicians, if they’re still in elective office and participated in creating the mess in the first place, never accept responsibility for the damage done or the future consequences eventually incurred.  Instead if they are called on the problem, always blame the fault on ‘not enough funding’ dedicated to the problem, or the bureaucratic regulators are ‘not doing enough’ to implement the perfect legislation that he or she proposed.

That’s the biggest bunch of crap, far exceeding the manure from a herd of cattle in an eight by ten pen!
