US denies coordinating attacks in Syria with Damascus

Pentagon says the attacks on Monday night and early Tuesday morning were very successful. The U-S Defense Department says the airstrikes against the ISIL and other militants will continue. Syria says it was informed before the U-S-led military operation began. Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has also supported international efforts to counter terrorism. A Syria monitoring group says a-hundred-20 militants from both the ISIL and al-Qaeda were killed in the airstrikes. Also, nearly a dozen civilians reportedly died as well. Meanwhile, Iraq says dozens of militants have been killed in U-S-led airstrikes in the country’s west near the border with Syria.
