Russian authorities vs The Holy Scriptures and 11th commandment: thou shalt not overstep

A rather unusual event with possible earth shaking consequences took place in Yekaterinburg – a large Russian city located far away from limelight.

At the end of May 2015 the Prosecutor’s Office of the Kirov district of Yekaterinburg has withdrawn from the library of the Jewish grammar school “Or Avner” the book of the Tanakh (Hebrew Scriptures), including the Torah. In addition, they seized textbooks – all in all, according to Rabbi Zelig Ashkenazi, about 100 books. Prosecutors intend to check their contents for any signs of extremism.

Seeing as how I am totally supportive of the good fight against extremism of any kind, I should applaud the study of the Book for the signs of extremism. However, on account of the players involved, my self-preservation instincts somewhat cool my ardor regarding this specific project.

So I shall bring up here a great summary of the dangers involved, written by one and only Victor Shenderovich, a popular Russian satirist, writer, scriptwriter and radio host. Frankly, it’s about time it was done: literally on every page there you find robbery, war crimes, massacres, rape. Crime upon crime. Interestingly, the criminals are very often Jews – and there is sufficient evidence of organized crime!

And yet, if I were in the shoes of the prosecutors, I would have slowed down, to keep out of the harm’s way.

You see, the point is… how to say it… The thing is that the head of this criminal group (let’s not call it by name) … he is not an ordinary citizen… He’s, like, you know, your Lord, do you dig ?

And He didn’t just arrange that bloodletting, reflected in the Pentateuch, for fun, but to establish the power structure. It was a state necessity and not just any ordinary criminal act. Do you feel where this is going?

About those who insist on a legal assessment of the long-forgotten crimes -  don’t they play right into the hands of the enemy? Aren’t they aiming to destroy the foundations? Aren’t they some kind of human rights activists accidentally? Very suspicious initiative that, this is all I can say.

Besides… I don’t want to upset the prosecutor’s office, but here’s the story… In short, the main person involved in the case has a close personal relationship with Christ – that same Jesus Christ, who is now being totally worshiped by the cooperative “Lake”*. Do you see the picture? And here you are with your stupid initiatives.

Wrong turn, dear Yekaterinburg prosecutors, quite wrong.

Crawl away slowly, be my advice to you. Do not move in that direction at all. Oppress them human rights defenders, catch your spies, jail the tree huggers, squash the liberals. There is a lot to do…
