THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A REPUBLIC AND A DEMOCRACY (Video) MUST SEE!

America was founded as a REPUBLIC, not a democracy.  And it must be stated: “THEY ARE NOT THE SAME.”

A Republic is a government in which LAWS RULE.  It is the rule of law.  In a republic, laws govern.  And people must follow those laws.  

America was set up as a Republic, and it was a nation of laws.  In fact, when America was founded, they asked Benjamin Franklin after he helped set up the American form of government: “What kind of government did you give us?“  Franklin replied, “A republic, if you can keep it.“  Why did he say this?  What did he mean?

The answer is that a Republic is almost always hijacked by an evil few, who then change it into a DEMOCRACY, which is nothing more than “mob rule.”  It’s easy, then, for the powers to be to work a mob into a frenzy and get them to do exactly what you want them to.  Thus, tyrants ALWAYS love to turn republics into democracies, in order to gain power, manipulate the masses, abd set themselves up as absolute dictators.

The old saying is “Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts ABSOLUTELY!“  So we see throughout history this pattern of Republics being changed into Democracies, and then ultimately dictators taking over and oppressing the people.  Eventually, they are overthrown, and the people set up a Republic to secure their freedom.  But that eventually leads to a democracy, and the cycle continues, with a dictator eventually seizing control, and forcing the people to bow to him. (This has repeated so many times in history, you’d think people would finally learn that democracies are EVIL, because they eventually lead to TYRANNY and a TYRANICAL dictatorship!)
