Sec. Kerry: Dollar to “Cease to Be the Reserve Currency of the World” If Iran Deal Fails
At a Thompson Reuters moderated discussion on President Obama’s negotiated nuclear deal with Iran in New York City on Tuesday, Secretary of State John Kerry claimed that if Congress rejects the agreement, the U.S. dollar will lose its current status as the world’s reserve currency.
“The United States is going to start sanctioning our allies and their banks and their businesses because we walked away from a deal? And we’re going to force them to do what we want them to do even though they agreed to the deal we came to? Are you kidding?” said Sec. Kerry in the above-embedded video provided by The Washington Free Beacon.
“Can you imagine trying to sanction [our allies] after persuading them that we’ve put in place sanctions to bring Iran to the negotiating table, and when they have not only come to the table but made a deal, we turn around and nix the deal and then tell them ‘you’re going to have to obey our rules on the sanctions anyway.’ That is a recipe, very quickly, my friends, businesspeople here, for the American dollar to cease to be the reserve currency of the world, which is already bubbling out there,” added Kerry.

Sec. Kerry said that if the U.S. were to cancel the deal after building an international coalition in its support, continuing to enforce sanctions against Iran would require sanctioning other U.S. allies.
According to Reuters, Kerry also claimed that under President Obama’s deal, the U.S. would be able to detect any attempt by Iran to develop nuclear weapons.

Not the stupidest thing said lately, but one of the stupidest. If anything threatens the dollar, it’s maintaining an obscene trade deficit, obscene government spending and the Federal Reserve printing so many dollars it can be intelligently pondered there’s perhaps more a store of value in toilet paper. We don’t need any help from Iran to screw everything up on that front. More importantly, speaking of Iran, somebody needs to arrange some sessions on a couch for Mr. Obama and Mr. Kerry, to determine what mental malady it is that makes them new best friends when genocidal, Muslim psychopaths and freakazoids, who are the worst enemies of the U.S. and antithetical to everything America stands for, or used to stand for.

If Secretary Kerry wants support for his “deal”, then let the people know what’s in it. Right now many of the most important details are secret. How are we supposed to support something that we have no idea what it is? “Trust Me”? Not likely with the Obama administration.
HELLO?! The Iranians advocate genocide of Israel. The Iranians have said they could lose half their own citizens in a nuclear war and consider that a victory. The Iranians are government sponsors of terrorism, export terrorism, supply the stuff of rocket attacks and suicide bombers. Lying is a strategic practice with Muslims, to deceive and achieve an upper hand. You need to know what the deal is? The deal with the devil? With people who have a goal of all non-Muslims dead, as well as Sunni Muslims, who, in turn, want them dead? You need details of a deal with evil, mentally and spiritually defective psychopaths and, as if, medieval Neanderthals, who don’t even speak a language of humanity? Have we actually come down to this level of dumbed-down, even after the likes of WWII, that you somehow believe you can deal with the Iranians, at all? Please just never ask why the world is in the mess it’s in, at least maybe look in the mirror, first, if you don’t see the elephant in the room, what’s wrong with this whole picture, in the first place.
I argue that the “deal” should be rejected until we know what’s in it and can make a proper decision. You argue that it should be rejected without knowing what’s in it, no matter what. I question your logic.
