Eye-Popping Poll Results Show Americans are at Wits’ End with Trump and Hillary

Pubic Policy Polling put out a poll this week, with pretty eye-popping results. It seems a full 13% are ready to just end it all and welcome the sweet embrace of TOTAL GLOBAL DEVASTATION.

A new poll finds that 13 percent of voters would rather see a cataclysmic end to life on Earth than vote for Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton.

The Public Policy Polling survey posed the question: “If the choices for president were Democrat Hillary Clinton, Republican Donald Trump, and a giant meteor hitting the earth, which would you choose?”

Forty-three percent chose Hillary, 38 percent picked The Donald, and 13 percent went for the meteor. Seven percent were not sure, giving the meteor a giant chance to win over the undecideds.

PPP says that it’s “a simple reality that both of this year’s Presidential candidates are unpopular,” noting Clinton’s favorability is 39/54, and “Trump is even worse off at 35/58.” They credit this with the rise of the “Giant Meteor” movement.

Sweet Meteor of Death’s campaign has been running for a while now on Twitter, and more people are on board every day. I know I am. (Oh relax, it’s a joke.)

The truth is, Trump and Hillary are two terrible candidates who believe in terrible things and are both huge liars. Hillary lies about her crimes, and Trump lies about not believing in terrible things. They’re both pro-abort, anti-Second Amendment, statist would-be monarchs. Against that, a world-ending chunk of rock and ice does seem rather neighborly, doesn’t it?

There was a lot more in the PPP poll, such as that Hillary leading Trump by four in a head-to-head, that her lead is comparable to Obama’s over Romney at the same time in 2012, that Trump picks up more Democrats than Hillary picks up Republicans, and that if voters were given the choice between Trump and Obama, they’d pick Obama by a margin of 52 to 43. Yeah. Nine points. Obama over Trump.

So basically Trump is losing to all the Democrats and is not doing that much better than a world-ending cataclysm. Happy Saturday, GOP. Reaping and sowing comment goes here.
