* In no way does the following analysis represent an endorsement of a political candidate or a political party. The United States has not had a real presidential candidate in decades. Every single person, man or woman, who has run for office and who has been nominated by a political party, has been part of the traditional political elite in the country. The 2016 presidential election is different in that one of the candidates [ Trump ] happens to be an outsider. That is, he has not occupied public office ever in his life. In fact, he has used Establishment politicians -by contributing to their campaigns- to advance his interests as a real estate mogul. As Trump himself confesses, he knows very well how the system works, and so he thinks he knows how to end the rigging that he has experienced over the last 12 months. The questions is, of course, why should people elect Trump instead of Clinton? There are plenty of reasons not to elect Clinton for the White House, but the most powerful reason is her track record in local and national politics. The track record is something Trump has in his favor. He has no experience in government, while Clinton has a lot, but Clinton’s resume is  deplorable at the very least. In the case of Trump, his resume outside politics says it all. He is arguably the most successful real estate billionaire in the United States and one of the top businessmen in the world. So, when it comes to success, Trump has all the accolades, while Clinton… well, she has nothing. Despite having been in the White House as the First Lady for 8 years, having been elected senator for the state of New York and having occupied the office of the Secretary of State during the first Obama term, all that Clinton has to show is scandal after scandal, after scandal. Trump is not free from controversy either. His real estate university, for example, has cost him some headaches. His alleged questionable relationships with women in the past have been brought to light by the Democratic propaganda machine, but have already been discounted as an issue after several of those women came out to deny any wrongdoing. Trump’s rhetoric against open borders, illegal immigration, Islamic terrorism and other sensitive issues has also been used to create an image that the Republican candidate is a bigot, a hater of minorities and who is in favor of white supremacy. None of those assumptions have made a dent in his campaign. In fact, more blacks, Latinos, women and gays have joined the Trump camp in the last month than ever before, and the numbers continue to grow. When objectively looking at both presidential candidates and their track record, people come away with one clear difference: Trump is not a perfect man or a perfect businessman, but he is a very successful one. His name says it all. He is well-connected in the business world and more recently, in the political world. He can show he has gotten things done. He may just be the CEO that America has not had in decades. Trump is his own man, as he does not owe anything to anyone. His financial independence allowed him to avoid compromising with any Establishment special interest until now, although he has kept in touch with known elite members such as Newt Gingrich and Henry Kissinger. That fact has sent chills up the spine of many of his supporters who understand that people like Kissinger and Gingrich are the embodiment of politics as usual. There is undoubtedly a lot of difference between what a candidate like Trump says and what he might be able to do if elected president. Politicians often promise a lot and deliver nothing, but if people judged Trump by his record and his speeches, it is not hard to comprehend why people of all colors and creeds have turned their backs to Hillary and the Establishment. In 2016, the Elite is represented by the old, outdated and tiring agenda being offered by Hillary Clinton. Most of her opponents understand that a vote for Clinton is a vote for continuing the Obama agenda. Experienced analysts such as Paul Craig Roberts and Stephen J. Lendman have explained extensively how a Hillary presidency would put the world on the verge of nuclear war. Political scandals aside, Hillary Clinton has nothing to show for, and that is why the scandals have caught up with her. Her corruption at the State Department, Emailgate, the failure in Benghazi, the cash machine known as the Clinton Foundation -used by Hillary and Bill to funnel money into her campaign- are only a few of the most recent controversies to hit the Clinton camp. Hillary Clinton has nothing positive to offer. She is Wall Street’s candidate. She has been paid millions by Wall Street institutions in exchange for speeches and so has her husband, former president, Bill Clinton, who in his time was also surrounded by scandal after scandal. The Clintons have received millions in contributions from Gulf States such as Saudi Arabia, which hold the most deplorable record when it comes to women’s and gay’s rights in the world.
