What is the relevance of the actual feminist thought in today’s society? What did the feminists actually claim when they used the word ‘equality’ as a term? The definition of feminism and the implementation of this term are still considered a challenge on a global scale. Since 1789, only 2% of women have managed to become members of the Congress. Similarly, from 1922 till 2006, only 33 women have served in the Senate; 20 Democrats and 13 Republicans. There are states like Delaware, Mississippi, New Hampshire and Vermont, which never have had a woman to represent the state, in either House of Congress. So far, America has never had a woman as an elected national leader.

In the last five years, the female candidates have been taken seriously, and as a strong part of the political community. The former First Lady and the U.S. Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, has finally managed to reach a major party nomination. The question here is whether America is ready for a woman to be the President. Nominated by the Democratic Party, Hillary Clinton is well-known as the most successful female presidential candidate as of this date.

Clinton’s candidate campaign has been markedly in contrast to the earlier bids for the White House by accomplished women who were prominent and respected, but they had little chance of winning. Even now, many Americans have deep doubts about her character and trustworthiness. “I have lost faith in Hillary a long time ago”, said Will Lizarrga, a Democrat. Many such comments have been shared since Hillary Clinton’s nomination. Are these men making such comments because they aspire to be in her position? Or do they have a special kind of hatred for women with power?

Hillary Clinton has managed to disrupt the power discourse with the help of power dynamics, and at the end of the day, she’s going to be criticized because of her gender, or on the basis of her decision-making strategy. The negative perceptions all run parallel to the former First Lady’s nomination.These negative perceptions cannot stop her campaign, which declares there are countless voters who are still willing to vote and support Clinton. America demands a steady leadership and a collective spirit. Is Clinton up to the mark?

Donald Trump – A Challenge for Hillary Clinton?

“The sky’s the limit,” declared Clinton the night she accepted her nomination as the female Presidential candidate of the United States of America. However, it is said that her speech lacked the poetic approach that President Barack Obama’s has; yet, she has the ability to present herself as a practical, policy-oriented striver, who gets straight back up whenever being knocked down. Donald Trump has managed to run side-by-side since Clinton’s nomination. It is agreed upon that both candidates have a strong fan following. However, does this mean that Trump is a threat to Clinton’s probable position as the President?

Recently, it has been noticed that Trump has taken vague steps to promote himself as the best candidate, and to degrade Clinton’s position. The Hillary Clinton – Donald Trump battle has been seen running at an international level. The most striking feature of this candidates race is that the history of unfavorable ratings of both the nominees is almost similar. About 57% of registered voters of America said that they have unfavorable views for both the candidates.

Moreover, the unusual factor is that there seems to be no political ethics, which would reflect Trump as a gentleman. He has been exposing his hatred for women as a gender in general by using insulting words for them, even in his campaign. He has repeatedly used the words “fat pig”, “slob” and “dog” to insult the female community as a whole. The surprising factor is that women would still want him to become the President of the United States of America. However, he has managed to make inroads with the female community, vowing to protect and cherish them while giving the example of his daughter’s success.

Hilary Clinton’s Missing Emails – Challenge or a Hoax? :

The Republican nominee, Donald Trump, recently called on the Russian government and the Russian intelligence services to hack Hillary Clinton’s email servers. He conceivably encouraged them to publish whatever they may have stolen. “Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” apparently counted as verbal abuse rather than a comment when made by Donald Trump during a news conference. The emails mentioned by Donald Trump are all from Hillary Clinton’s time at the State Department, which she has claimed to be her private business.

However, the use of a private server provoked a federal investigation, initiated by Trump’s harsh comments. It is believed now that the Russians did steal the emails from the Democratic National Community, which the Russians were going to release for the purpose of hurting the Clinton campaign. Remember the previously unreported instance at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), and its potential ties to the Russian hackers. This fact is likely going to heighten the accusations, which are unproven so far, that Moscow has been trying to meddle in the US elections to help Donald Trump.
