Saudi Arabia confirmed that five Saudi army soldiers have been killed in separate clashes with fighters of the Yemeni popular forces in its Southern border regions of Dhahran Janoub, Jizan and Asir. Major General Mahya al-Otaibi, Jizan Border Guard chief, said that conscript Musa bin Mohammed Daeli was killed in Dhahran al-Janoub region near the border with Yemen’s mountainous Northwestern province of Sa’ada, SPA reported. Major General Nasser bin Saleh Aldojse, Jizan police chief, added that officer Hamoud Mohammed Awaji was killed in clashes in the Southern flank of Saudi Arabia. Additionally, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of the National Guard Mutaib bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud said a soldiers was critically wounded during a heavy exchange of gunfire in the al-Rabu’ah town of the southwestern Asir region. The three senior Saudi officials, however, did not provide any information about the time when three soldiers were killed and the circumstances surrounding their deaths.

Saudi warplanes on Thursday conducted raids on
Yemeni city of Serwah in Ma’rib province, destroying several residential
structures in the city, a local official said. “Enemy jets targeted
al-Matar residential area and its neighboring hills,” said the official
in Ma’rib province, Saba reported. The raids caused huge damage to
citizens’ houses in the district, he said Earlier, the Saudi warplanes
waged raids on rural areas in Ta’iz province, targeting al-Ahkom village
in Haifan district. They Saudi warplanes also targeted a primary school
in al-Akbosh area in the district.
