A Dirty But Brilliant Move: The Trump Campaign Paid for Bill Clinton’s Accusers to Attend Debate

After audio was released of Trump saying his fame and fortune allow him to treat women like sex objects, and “grab them by the pu**y,” Hillary was handed a weapon to use against Trump. His piggishness, and chauvinism was to be a tool by which to beat Trump over the head with throughout the debate.

But with one fell swoop, the Trump campaign snatched that weapon out of Hillary’s hand, and used it against her.

During the debate, Paula Jones, Juanita Broaddrick, Kathleen Willey, and Kathy Shelton all had prime seating in a front row, on full display. For those who don’t know, these were all women that Bill Clinton had sexually assaulted at one point, and whom Hillary had defended her husband against. This prompted a photo of Bill Clinton looking sideways at the woman that has been circulating around the internet, generating endless memes, and jokes.

Originally, it was thought that had paid for the women to be there, but this has since been denied. The Trump campaign has come forward and said it was responsible for the women’s prime placement during the debate.

From Politico:

Broaddrick, along with two other women who have accused Clinton of assault and one whose rapist Hillary Clinton once represented as a public defender, all appeared in St. Louis in a surprise press availability alongside Donald Trump before the debate. The four also had prime seats in the debate hall.

Trump campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks said in an email that the campaign paid for the women’s travels.

“They were our invited guests,” Hicks said.

A spokeswoman for Breitbart also denied that the site paid for the women’s travels to the debate.

This might not be saying much, in terms of the campaign bringing the women in vs Breitbart. The two entities run so close together, you can sometimes hardly tell the difference.

Regardless, highlighting Hillary’s hypocrisy was a stroke of brilliance on the part of the Trump campaign. The last 48 hours have been replete with anti-woman rhetoric describing the Trump campaign, and the campaign rendered it all rather innocuous. Whether or not their presence effected Hillary’s performance last night, we may never know, but it certainly can explain why Hillary didn’t seem to draw as much blood as expected during the first 30 minutes.
