Today, the news from Syria just yet encouraging.

1. Begin the process of putting the final Al-Hama and Kudsai. Insurgents hand over heavy weapons and small arms – much of the city remains under an amnesty, uncompromising ride in Idlib. Syria in Past 24 Hours: Army in Fierce Clashes with Terrorists in Aleppo

The Syrian army and popular forces continued their military operations against the terrorist groups in Aleppo and other provinces, and inflicted heavy damage and losses on them in the last 24 hours.

Syrian Army troops repelled ISIL’s attacks on their positions near Kuweires airbase in the Eastern countryside of Aleppo city, leaving several militants dead and several more wounded, military sources said Wednesday.

“ISIL once again launched large-scale assault in the Eastern countryside of Aleppo and attacked the positions of government troops from the Northern side of the military airport,” the sources said.

“The Syrian government forces fended off the attacks after a long night of fighting against the ISIL terrorists,” the source said, adding that “the army soldiers killed at least 15 militants while the remaining pockets of them retreated from the battlefield.”

Also military sources said on Wednesday that the Syrian Army is dividing militant-held districts in the Eastern part of Aleppo into smaller battlefields to capture them one by one, adding that the new tactic has already proved successful.

“The Syrian army is trying to diconnect militants’ positions to divide them into smaller battlefields in a move to make them too weak to stand the government forces’ attacks,” the sources said.

“Rapid advances of the Syrian army troops and their popular allies against Jeish al-Fatah in Aleppo city testify that the new tactic has proved as a major success, and that military developments in the Northern city and its countryside are moving in the direction desired by the government forces,” they added.

The sources said that the army now is to chain its positions in al-Oweijeh to Bostan al-Pasha in order to end clashes in a large part of the Eastern districts.

“The strategic plan of the Syrian armed forces concentrates on the liberation of the districts of al-Nazarat, Ein al-Tal, Halak, al-Sakhour and Masaken al-Hananou in Eastern Aleppo. They simultaneously are to advance against Fatah al-Sham Front (the newly-formed al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorist group previously known as the al-Nusra Front) in Bostan al-Pasha and al-Meidan,” they pointed out.

“After dividing the Eastern districts of Aleppo into smaller areas, militants will face no way but to surrender or die,” the sources concluded.

Also on Wednesday, Syrian army soldiers alongside the Lebanese Hezbollah and Iraqi al-Nujaba popular forces engaged in fierce clashes with Jeish al-Fatah in the Southern districts of Aleppo city.

The Syrian Armed Forces and their allies stormed buildings near the strategic Sheikh Saeed Hill that resulted in fierce battle with the Jeish al-Fatah.

The clashes, army reports said, have claimed the lives of tens of militants and wounded scores more.

In the meantime, the Russian Air Force carried out over 20 airstrikes against Jeish al-Fatah’s centers in Southern Aleppo, pinning down the terrorists behind their defense lines.

Field sources said on Wednesday that the Syrian army soldiers and the Palestinian Liwa al-Quds fighters have been beating back terrorists of Jeish al-Fatah from more building blocks, streets and residential areas in two main districts in Eastern Aleppo, pinning the terrorists down behind their strongholds.

“The defense lines of Fatah al-Sham Front in Bostan al-Pasha and Suleiman al-Halabi have been under heavy attacks by the Syrian government forces,” the sources said.

“The Syrian Armed Forces have captured several more buildings inside Bostan al-Pasha, they are now steadily pushing North,” they added

“In Suleiman al-Halabi, the Syrian Armed Forces launched another assault to recapture the strategic Water Pumping Station that is under Nouralddeen Al-Zinki’s control,” the sources went on to say.

Also in the past 24 hours, the Syrian Army troops and Air Force launched fresh rounds of joint assaults on Jeish al-Fatah’s gatherings in the Western districts of Aleppo city from three flanks, inflicting dozens of casualties on the militants.

Syrian soldiers and their popular allies struck Jeish al-Fatah’s positions in Jam’iyat al-Zahra district and engaged in heavy fighting with militants near Rasoul A’azam Jam’e mosque, al-Maliyeh square and Air Force building.

The militants have reportedly sustained dozens of casualties in the clashes.

Syrian fighter jets played a crucial role in army’s advances against militants in Jam’iyat al-Zahra district.

Syrian Army soldiers and their allies continued to beat terrorists back from more lands South of the Palestinian Handarat Refugees Camp, Northeast of Aleppo city, on Wednesday.

“Syrian government forces have inflicted a heavy death toll on the militants and captured Jame’a mosque, city hall, sports stadium, over 30 machinegun-equipped bunkers and defense positions and 15 large strongholds,” the sources said.

“The Syrian army soldiers have opened their way into an industrial zone in al-Reihan region and captured three factories that manufacture electrical devices, oil and electrical cables,” they added.

“Army’ engineering units have thus far defused a large number of bombs, explosive traps and landmines planted by the militants in buildings near the town’s graveyard,” the sources went on to say.

In the meantime, positions and garrisons of Jund al-Aqsa, Ahrar al-Sham and Fatah al-Sham Front in al-Qasaniyeh, Ma’arat al-Nu’aman, Ariha, Saraqib, Ma’ardebseh, Kahn Sheikhoun and Jisr al-Shughour were heavily bombed by the Syrian warplanes.

Also on Wednesday, the bases of Fatah al-Sham Front came under heavy attacks by the Syrian army in different neighborhoods of Dara’a city.

“Syrian army men, backed up by the country’s warplanes, targeted Fatah al-Sham’s concentration centers West of Busra square and Bajabjah in Dara’a al-Balad, inflicting major damage on militants’ sites and slowing their movements down in the Southern part of Dara’a city,” army sources said.
