Trump Surrogate’s Daughter Parts Ways With Her Dad’s Political Choices

This is going to make for an awkward holiday season.

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani has been a vocal, and often embarrassing surrogate for GOP nominee, Donald Trump. The adoration is, apparently, not a hereditary trait.

Caroline Guiliani, daughter of Rudy Guiliani, wrote on Facebook that she was “pro-Hillary all along,” according to a report by Politico.

She changed her profile picture to one with Clinton’s “H” campaign logo two weeks ago.

“I’ve been pro-Hillary all along,” she wrote on Facebook last month, linking to a story about a Bernie Sanders supporter who switched his support. “But the people who are willing to open their minds & shift their perspectives are the ones with the power to save our country at this point, so I really respect this.”

“I love Hillary, I think she’s by far the most qualified candidate that we’ve had in a long while,” she said in an interview.

Ah… there it is. I was looking for a family resemblance, and I see she shares her dad’s deluded mentality.

She went on to say that her dad knows that she is Team Hillary and that he is “comfortable” with it.

This isn’t exactly the first divergence of character between Giuliani and his daughter.

Giuliani’s reputation as a mayor was that of being very tough on crime. You can imagine his parental disappointment in 2010, when 20 year old Caroline was caught shoplifting makeup from an upscale department store. This was while she was a student at Harvard.

I suppose we’re not always responsible for the awful choices of our children.

Nor are they responsible for ours.
