FEC Complaint: A Hillary Win is Purpose of Stein’s Wisconsin Recount

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Politico reports that the Wisconsin Republican Party filed a complaint with the Federal Elections Commission alleging that purpose of Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein’s recount is to help Hillary Clinton win:

It is clear that the only beneficiaries of Jill Stein’s recount are Hillary Clinton and Wisconsin Democrats. By raising and spending at least $3.5 million on this recount, it has allowed Hillary Clinton’s campaign to oversee the recount, join relevant lawsuits and become the sole benefactor of this effort while bearing none of the cost or public scrutiny.

This obvious coordination is in clear violation of federal law governing coordinated expenditures and is a blatant attempt to undermine the transparency of our election process.

Stein — who received just 1% of the vote in Wisconsin — has demanded a recount based upon a Liberal conspiracy theory that voting machines might have been hacked. And as my colleague, Andrea Ruth reported, Hillary’s campaign has decided to join the recounts even though they have found no evidence of any hacking. The FEC complaint argues that Stein is really hoping to flip the election for Hillary:

After being soundly rejected by the voters both in Wisconsin and around the United States, Clinton stands as the only actor that would benefit from a recount taking place in Wisconsin or elsewhere.

The complaint comes a day after Stein paid the $3.5 million fee and filed for a recount in Wisconsin, one of three states her campaign is currently pushing for a recount in. The other states, Pennsylvania and Michigan, are also ones in which Democrats expected Hillary to easily defeat President-elect Donald Trump in. Trump won all three.

Someone should tell Stein Hillary conceded.
