Guess Who Barack Obama Blamed For Democrats Being Losers? Fox News, Of Course

If Fox News had the level of power President Obama claims, he wouldn’t have been elected, let alone re-elected. The President cannot seem to help himself. When he looks to point the finger of blame as to why he’s not able to get something done or why Democrats got stomped in an election, Obama has two targets he reaches for without fail: Fox News and Rush Limbaugh.

Sure enough, in an interview with Rolling Stone, the President was at it again when asked why the Democrats did so poorly if the nation is as the President says, a “progressive” country:

In this election, [white working class voters] turned out in huge numbers for Trump. And I think that part of it has to do with our inability, our failure, to reach those voters effectively. Part of it is Fox News in every bar and restaurant in big chunks of the country, but part of it is also Democrats not working at a grassroots level, being in there, showing up, making arguments. That part of the critique of the Democratic Party is accurate. We spend a lot of time focused on international policy and national policy and less time being on the ground. And when we’re on the ground, we do well.

Obama also went for the Democrats latest canard: Fake news. After decades of having a favorable mainstream press, the Democrats are now attempting to blame the existence of several websites for their lousy performance:

One of the challenges that we’ve been talking about now is the way social media and the Internet have changed what people receive as news. I was just talking to my political director, David Simas. He was looking at his Facebook page and some links from high school friends of his, some of whom were now passing around crazy stuff about, you know, Obama has banned the Pledge of Allegiance.

This is absurd. The people reading these stories are those who are just having their point of view validated. Minds are not being changed en masse by fake news stories.

Democrats always blame everybody but themselves for their problems.
