Cuba-vacationing, Sandanista-supporting, Hillary-endorsing New York City Mayor
Warren Wilhelm er, Bill DeBlasio, has decided to take it upon himself to encourage the undermining of the American electoral system and call for the anti-Trump protests to continue:
“We have to recognize that all over this country, the more disruption that’s caused peacefully … the more it will change the trajectory of things,” said de Blasio in an interview.
De Blasio said that resistance is entirely necessary, claiming that Trump is likely to lose the popular vote and therefore will ‘not have a mandate to rule.’
“We need to hold Trump accountable for anything he does that encourages hate and division … The more extreme he is, the more people fight back, the more it takes away his power.”
A “mandate to rule”? A president doesn’t rule. He presides over one of three coequal branches of government, but whatever.
DeBlasio has a history and a penchant for supporting groups who undermine the rule of law and hope to throw society into chaos. More par for the course from him. Let’s hope his democratic dream never comes to fruition for his and our children’s sake.
