Open Thread: The Polls Are Closing. What’s Going to Happen?

(Before It's News)

It’s 6 p.m. ET. The polls are closing in parts of Kentucky and Indiana. In one hour, they’ll close in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Vermont, and Virginia. Thirty minutes after that, they’ll close in North Carolina, Ohio, and West Virginia.

After that, it’s a long cascade of results that we’ll have to try to wade through. It’s been a long year, guys, but we’ve made it to the end. After tonight, it’s all over. We’ll have a new president. Half the country is gonna be pissed, the other is going to be happy(ish?). Regardless, it’s been a tough slog through all the crap we’ve had to put up with.

Here are the exit polls we’ve seen so far:

  1. The Earliest Early Exits
  2. More Early Exit Polling: Hillary’s Ground Game, Obama’s Impact and a Mandate
  3. Early Vote Estimate – Clinton Leads Trump In Florida, Iowa, Nevada
  4. CNN Early Exit Polls: “Not Much Of A Choice”
  5. Still More Exit Polling Finds Common Ground About the Candidates

How do you feel about tonight? Happy? Sad? Depressed? Relieved? Open thread. Talk it out. Maybe hug the other commenters. We made it, you guys.
