Pilot Has to Give Lecture on Political Harmony After Argument Breaks Out Mid-Flight (VIDEO)

When in the course of human events that Americans fresh off a shock election year and cannot keep their counsel for a three-hour flight to Puerta Vallarta, it becomes necessary for the pilot to address the cabin via intercom to give a lecture on civil discourse.

In this case, according to the YouTube post, a white male passenger reportedly said to another female passenger, who was African American that he was “glad to have kept his guns” and the woman “began to cry and freak out.” The pair were ultimately separated by the flight attendants.

Bravo to this United Airlines pilot who addressed the issue appropriately:

Here’s what the pilot said:

“I understand everybody has their opinions; that’s fine. If you support him (Donald Trump), great. If you don’t, I understand. However, we’re out here to go to Puerto Vallarta, supposed to be having a good time, and what I do ask is that as people we have the common decency to respect each others’ decisions and to get along on this three hour and thirteen minute flight so that we can have a good time when we get down there. Nobody wants to argue, nobody wants — nobody is going to change their minds by arguing. And let’s keep our opinions to ourselves on this particular matter at this particular time. When cooler heads prevail and we can talk and realize that we’re all human beings. We can all stick together and we can all vote for this country in our own way that that’s what we should do. If anyone has a problem with this, who needs to rant or rave, there’s another flight tomorrow.”
