Schummer’s Big ‘FU’ to Trump

In a blatant “FU” slap in the face to President-Elect Trump, soon-to-be Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has thrown his considerable support  Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison to be the next head of the Democratic National Committee.

According to Politico’s Playbook, Schumer spoke with Ellison Thursday afternoon and “supports him for chair.” Ellison is co-chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and will officially throw his hat in the ring on Monday.

CNN reports that Ellison, a Muslim-American, is also backed by former presidential candidate Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders — a registered independent who caucuses with Democrats and an admitted socialist.

Worse as my colleague streiff points out, Ellison is a Muslim Brotherhood supporter.

Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren is also backing Ellison telling Rachel Maddow last night on MSNBC that Ellison would make a “terrific” DNC chair.

Schumer and company’s support for Ellison becoming head of the DNC amounts to a declaration of war. It is sending a loud and clear message that they will fight Trump’s change agenda with every tool at their disposal. It takes another shot at Trump’s proposed temporary ban on Muslims entering the United States. Worse, it also amounts to still more Democrat pandering to American Muslims.
