An illiterate peasant, Mitar Tarabic, who lived in the Balkans in the 19th century is believed to have predicted major historic events, like WWI and the rise of Nazis.

The peasant shared his mysterious visions with a local priest who wrote them down in a special notebook. Tarabic, who lived in the Serbian village of Kremna from 1822 to 1899, is said to have made several prophecies that describe major twentieth-century events. Along with such major historical events as the rule of a “red king”, Joseph Stalin, and the Soviet victory over Hitler, Tarabic also predicted the arrival of a “noble and good-natured red-haired man” who, as some people assume, could be Donald Trump. “The world will be ruled by a noble and good-natured red-haired man. Those will be happy who will live during this time, because the red-haired man will bring happiness to all people,” his prediction said. “He will live a long life and rule until his death, given by God. There will be no wars during his reign or afterwards, but then, after some time, people will again start the era of great evil and hatred due to their own foolishness,” it continued.

Tarabic’s prediction has been recalled by several media outlets following recent Republican candidate Donald Trump’s victory against Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton in the US presidential election. Whether the new US president will be as noble and good-natured as predicted, remains to be seen. But if the Serbian farmer really spoke of Trump, then it should mean that in the future the US will finally stop waging wars.
