Russia, Turkey Push Nationwide Ceasefire Plan In Syria

Russia And Turkey Say Ceasefire Agreement Draft Has Been Reached

Turkey and Russia ‘broker ceasefire deal for all of Syria’
It should come into force this evening at midnight

http://www.infowars.com/turkey-and-russia-broker-ceasefire-deal-for-all-of-syria/

Turkey and Russia have agreed a ceasefire plan for all of Syria that should come into force this evening at midnight, the state-run Anadolu news agency said on Wednesday. The plan aims to expand a ceasefire in the city of Aleppo, brokered by Turkey and Russia earlier this month to allow the evacuation of civilians, to all of the country, it said. But, like previous ceasefire plans that had been brokered by the United States and Russia, it excludes “terror” groups, the agency said.

If successful, the plan will form the basis of upcoming political negotiations between the regime and opposition overseen by Russia and Turkey in the Kazakh capital Astana, it added. Turkey and Russia will work for the plan to come into force at midnight, the agency said, without giving further details

Syria: Kurdish Fighters Capture More Lands Near Raqqa

The predominately Kurdish ‘Syrian Democratic Forces’ (SDF) continued to beat back ISIL terrorists from more positions West of Raqqa, the self-proclaimed capital of ISIL, wining back one more village in the region.

The SDF pushed back ISIL from the village of Hadaj after hours of non-stop clashes.

In the meantime, the Kurdish fighters repelled ISIL’s attack on their positions in the newly-captured village of Ja’abar al-Sharqi.

Over 38 ISIL militants were killed and six vehicles, a bomb-laden car, a machinegun-equipped vehicle and a canon have also been destroyed in the last two days of clashes in Hadaj and Ja’abar al-Sharqi.

In relevant developments in the province on Tuesday, the Kurdish fighters engaged in several-hour-long battle with ISIL and pushed them back from the village of Ja’abar al-Qarbi.

In the meantime, the SDF combatants repelled ISIL’s attack on its positions in the newly-captured village of Ja’abar al-Sharqi, killing 18 militants.

In the meantime, senior commander of ISIL in the Northern side of al-Tabaq town known as Abu Jandal al-Kuweiti was killed in clashes with SDF.

Syrian Army Gives Militants Last Ultimatum to Leave Key Region in Northwestern Damascus

The Syrian army has given the terrorists who have remained in Wadi al-Bardi town in Western Ghouta a final ultimatum to leave the region for Idlib in the next 48 hours, military sources disclosed Wednesday.

The sources said that the army troops have called on terrorists in Wadi al-Bardi to surrender and receive amnesty or “take this last chance” and move towards militant-held regions in Idlib province.

The undesirable weather conditions have left an impact on the army operation in Wadi al-Bardi region as thick fog prevented the army aircraft from carrying out their mission in the region.

In the meantime, the terrorists deployed in towns and villages in the surrounding areas of Damascus city said that a new coalition called as the Joint Defense Coalition in besieged-regions of Damascus has been formed.

Militants in Wadi al-Bardi have joined this coalition. The main objective of the coalition is said to be laying more pressure on the Syrian army and preventing it from capturing villages and regions near Damascus city.

Preventing the army from evacuating militants to Idlib is said to be among other main objectives of the militant coalition.

Field reports said on Tuesday that the army troops were about to start a fresh round of large-scale operation in Wadi al-Bardi in Western Damascus after terrorists refused to join peace talks with the government,.

According to reports, terrorists’ movements in Wadi al-Bardi were increased and in return the army was preparing to carry out a vast operation to purge the militants from the region.

The army’s artillery units started shelling terrorists’ centers in Wadi al-Bardi in Northwestern Damascus.

In the meantime, missile units and army aircraft pounded terrorists’ positions.

Clashes in the regions of Souq Wadi al-Bardi, Ein al-Fijeh and al-Hosseiniyeh were underway simultaneous with artillery and missile shelling.

Wadi al-Bardi is a region that overlooks Western mountain of al-Qalamoun region and is located almost 20 kilometers to Damascus. Al-Qalamoun chain mountains have laid along joint border of Syria and Lebanon from where the terrorists were previously penetrating into Syria’s soil form Lebanon, smuggling weapons.

Wadi al-Bardi is of strategic importance because it is home to a large volume of drinking water reservoir.

Battle for Mosul Day 72: 40 of 56 Mosul Districts Liberated from ISIL

The comprehensive military campaign by Iraqi military forces to liberate the Northern city of Mosul continued to inflict more blows on the ISIL terrorists on Wednesday with Iraqi Foreign Minister noting that government forces have liberated all but 16 of the districts in Mosul from the ISIL militant group.

Iraqi Forces Liberate 40 of 56 Mosul Districts from ISIL

Iraqi Foreign Minister said that government forces have liberated all but 16 of the districts in Mosul from the ISIL militant group.

Iraqi government forces have liberated all but 16 of the districts in Mosul from the ISIL militant group, Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim Jafari, Sputnik reported.

“Most of Mosul and its surroundings in Nineveh province have been liberated. This is 40 out of 56 districts. Work is beginning to liberate the remaining 16 districts,” Jafari said.

The Iraqi diplomat attributed a slowdown in the campaign to the terrorists’ use of civilians as human shields, as well as “vast stocks of modern weapons.”

Hundreds of Displaced Families Return Liberated Areas in Mosul

A member of Iraq’s Nineveh provincial council announced the return of hundreds of displaced families to their liberated areas in the left coast of Mosul city after being guaranteed by members of the provincial council.

“Hundreds of Nineveh’s displaced families, who had taken refuge to the camps of Cham Hassan and Khazar as housing, have returned to the liberated areas in the Eastern side of the left coast”, said the Iraqi official Hossam al-Din al-Abbar, Badr News reported.

He added that those families had been returned to their homes in the left coast after being guaranteed by members of the provincial council to prevent the presence of any collaborator with ISIL terror group.

Iraqi PM: Three Months Needed to Rout ISIL Terror Group

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said it would take three months to rout ISIL militants, as Iraqi forces and their allies continue to fight against the terror outfit to dislodge the group from Iraqi city of Mosul.

Abadi previously said the city would be retaken by the end of this year but commanders say the operation has been slowed by the need to protect civilians who have mostly stayed in their homes rather than fleeing as was expected, Iraqi News reported.

Responding to recent comments by a commander of the US-led coalition that it would take as long as two years to eliminate ISIL and its cells in Iraq and Syria, Abadi said that the Americans were “very pessimistic”.

ISIL Chief’s Top Aide Captured by Iraqi Forces in Mosul

Iraqi security forces detained at least 15 top ISIL members, including a top aide to the terror group’s chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, during an operation on the western banks of the Northern city of Mosul, a security source said.

The security source in Nineveh Province said Iraqi security forces, tipped off by local residents about the terrorists’ hideout in al-Bakr neighborhood, managed to capture Abu Harith al-Matyooti along with fourteen other ISIL members, including some of the group’s informants and intelligence elements during the raid.
