Taking a slightly mutated page out of
the Vladimir Putin “taking the high road” book, on Saturday morning
Donald Trump tweeted New Year’s greeting to all, while taunting those
“many enemies” who opposed him.

Happy New Year to all, including to my many enemies and those who have fought me and lost so badly they just don’t know what to do. Love!

“Happy New Year to all, including to my many enemies and
those who have fought me and lost so badly they just don’t know what to
do. Love!” Trump wrote hours before the end of 2016.

Having previously used Twitter to mark holidays with taunts
to his opponents, it appears that Trump is unwilling to stop now. This
particular tradition dates back before his entry into politics, with one
particular tweet coming to mind when in 2013, he wrote: “Happy Thanksgiving to all–even the haters and losers!”

The same year, he even wrote a similar message on the
anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks that killed nearly
3,000 people, tweeting: “I would like to extend my best wishes to all,
even the haters and losers, on this special date, September 11th.”
