(Before It's News)

Coming in from multiple sources, the U.S. Navy has had to fire warning shots at Iranian Revolutionary Guard vessels that were closing in on the ships at a high rate of speed Monday. Here’s the report from Reuters, who spoke with Defense officials:

The officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said the USS Mahan, an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer, established radio communication with the boats but they did not respond to requests to slow down.

The Navy destroyer fired warning flares and a US Navy helicopter also dropped a smoke float.

The Iranian vessels came within 900 yards (800 metres) of the USS Mahan, which was escorting two other US ships, they said.

Iran, feeling emboldened by the last eight years, are now openly harassing U.S. naval forces. It is only a matter of time before they do something far worse. This is a direct result of the lack of response to their actions during Barack Obama’s terms in office.
