(Before It's News)

I was an politically active adult when George Bush won in 2000. I thought I’d seen just about everything in the way of batsh** craziness by Democrats that there was to see. I was wrong. Trump’s win has not only completely unhinged them, his transition team’s and the GOP Senate leadership’s total blow off of their howling now has them frothing with derangement. For instance:

None of the mewling is making much of a difference. The Senate, in collaboration with the Trump transition team, is moving forward to ensure the top tier of Trump’s policy team will be in place on January 20. This week the schedule is chock full of fun:

Tuesday, Jan. 10

Position: Attorney general
Nominee: Sen. Jeff Sessions
Committee: Senate Judiciary
Confirmation Hearings: Jan. 10 and 11

Position: Homeland Security secretary
Nominee: John Kelly
Committee: Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs
Confirmation hearings: Jan. 10 at 3:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Jan. 11

Position: Education secretary
Nominee: Betsy DeVos
Committee: Senate HELP
Confirmation hearings: Jan. 11 at 10 a.m.

Position: Transportation secretary
Nominee: Elaine Chao
Committee: Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation
Confirmation Hearings: Jan. 11 10:15 a.m.

Position: Secretary of State
Nominee: Rex Tillerson
Committee: Senate Foreign Relations
Confirmation Hearings: Jan. 11

Thursday, Jan. 12

Position: Housing and Urban Development secretary
Nominee: Ben Carson
Committee: Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs
Confirmation Hearings: Jan. 12 at 10 a.m.

Position: Commerce secretary
Nominee: Wilbur Ross
Committee: Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation
Confirmation Hearings: Jan. 12 at 10 a.m.

What the Democrats are afraid of is that the eight nominees they have targeted for defeat or public scolding — Rex Tillerson (State), Sen. Jeff Sessions (Attorney General), Betsy DeVos (Education), Rep. Mick Mulvaney (OMB), Rep. Tom Price (HHS), Scott Pruitt (EPA), Steve Mnuchin (Treasury), and Andrew Puzder (Labor) — are going to escape without any damaging statements. By packing the schedule, neither the Democrats nor their fellatistas on the left, will be able to mount much of a public challenge. The Democrats are threatening to demand the allowed two hours of debate per nominee but the odds of them having the guts to do that is slim.

The essence of the Democrat demand that the review of potential financial conflicts by nominees be completed before the confirmation process, rather than in accordance with the law, is they want those financial records to smear nominees and they want extra time to attack them. To be clear, the nominees have to take the actions required by the OGE once the review is completed or they could face criminal prosecution. It isn’t like Democrat senators being deprived of those records is damaging the republic.

What the Democrats are pretending not to understand is that they are in a minority. At least eight of their caucus who are up for reelection in 2009 are from states Trump carried. They simply don’t have much of a position from which to dictate terms or even enough power to merit being listened to.
