Former CIA Director John Brennan Continues His Jihad Against Donald Trump

Yesterday Donald Trump and Mike Pence made a trip to Langley to talk to the CIA. The speech was rather strange, to say the least, if one expected this to be an exercise in bridge building. Rather Trump clearly pointed out to the rank-and-file, anyway, that they have a mutual enemy in an antagonistic press.

Not to be outdone, former CIA Director John Brennan had to try to grab his bit of the lime light.

“Former CIA Director Brennan is deeply saddened and angered at Donald Trump’s despicable display of self-aggrandizement in front of CIA’s Memorial Wall of Agency heroes,” Nick Shapiro said in a statement. “Brennan says that Trump should be ashamed of himself.”

This is just another action in Brennan’s long running jihad against the incoming administration. He’s pretty obviously the “senior official” who pimped the alleged secret report about Russian involvement in the US elections to every media outlet in the civilized world before it was shared with the president-elect. Since then it has been equally obvious that he’s been behind most of the media leaks from the intelligence community that have sought to discredit Trump.

Brennan’s statement is rather unprecedented in the annals of statements made by recently replaced government officials and only serves to underscore the poisonous environment that Mike Pompeo is going to encounter and the essential nature of purging the top levels of that agency.
