The comprehensive military campaign by Iraqi military forces to liberate the Northern city of Mosul from ISIL militants continued on Monday as Iraqi joint military forces managed to liberate the Northern neighborhood of Al-Karama in Mosul.

The Iraqi forces managed on Monday to liberate Northern neighborhood of Al-Karama in Mosul from the ISIL terrorist group.

The military commander Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah announced in a statement that the counterterrorism forces regained control over Al-Karama neighborhood in Mosul, raising the national flag over the public buildings across the district, Al Manar reported.

The Iraqi forces has also inflicted heavy losses on ISIL terrorists in the cources of the military operation.

Iraqi Federal Police Kill Notorious ISIL Commander, Purges Terrorists from Key Road Near Mosul

Iraq’s joint military forces managed to purge ISIL terrorists from a strategic road East of Mosul, killing a senior ISIL commander in fierce clashes.

“Ahmad Manati, ISIL’s notorious commander, was killed in heavy battle with the Iraqi Federal Police over the control of the key Koukajli road in al-Entesar district to the East of Mosul city,” Commander of Iraqi Federal Police Raed Shaker Judat said.

Several ISIL terrorists were killed and wounded in fierce clashes with the Iraqi Federal Police forces.

In a relevant development earlier on Monday, the Iraqi army forces bombed the ISIL strongholds in Northern Mosul in a bid to cut off the Tel Kef supply line.

Ameri: Fight against Terrorism Requires More Wisdom, Patience

Senior commander of Iraq’s popular mobilization units (PMU) Hadi al-Ameri stressed that the fight against terrorism requires more wisdom and patience.

Al-Ameri said in a statement to reporters that the progress in the battle for Mosul is rapid in all fronts, but the size of the province’s and the presence of civilians make the determination of a timeframe for the liberation of Mosul a challenging job thing to do, Badr News reported.

Al-Ameri has stressed on the importance of regional coordination to fight terrorism, especially with Syria, which has suffered from terrorism and the need to benefit from global experiences such as the European Union’s experience to undermine the terrorists’ movements.

68 ISIL Terrorists Killed in Iraqi Army’s Military Operations

Iraq’s joint military forces continued their advances in different parts of Nineveh province, inflicting heavy losses on the ISIL, the country’s defense ministry announced in a statement on Monday.

The Iraqi forces killed 38 terrorists Southeast of Nineveh province and destroyed several of their military vehicles.

Meantime, the Iraqi Hezbollah Battalions hit the ISIL’s bomb-laden cars in the Western part of the city of Tal Afar, killing 30 terrorists and wounding many more.

A sum of five bomb-laden vehicles of the terrorists were also destroyed in Hezbollah Battalion’s offensive.

Iraqi Forces Target ISIL Key Supply Line North Mosul

Iraqi Army forces bombed ISIL strongholds in Northern Mosul in a bid to cut off the Tel Kef supply line, military sources reported.

The Iraqi troops hit three ISIL checkpoints along the Tel Kef road in Northern Mosul city, using heavy artillery. The shelling led to the destruction of the ISIL security checkpoints and the death of several ISIL militants, ARA News reported.

The Tel Kef road is considered one of the main supply lines for the ISIL militants to support their operations against the Iraqi forces in Northern Mosul.

Syria in Last 24 Hours: Army Inflicts Heavy Losses on Terrorists in Homs Province

The Syrian army hit hard the terrorists’ military positions and hardware in different parts of Homs province.

The terrorists sustained heavy losses in the Syrian army’s artillery attacks.

The Syrian army also continued its advances in other key provinces across Syria.

Homs

The Syrian Army troops targeted ISIL terrorists’ movements and gatherings in six different regions in Eastern Homs, inflicting tens of casualties on the militants.

The army soldiers hit ISIL’s concentration centers hard in the villages and towns of Arsouneh, East of Tiyas, East of Station 4, Ba’ar al-Wa’erah, near Qasr al-Hayer and in Eastern side of al-Quaryatayn, killing and wounding tens of militants and destroying their armored vehicles.

Reports said earlier on Sunday that Russian fighter jets targeted a convoy of ISIL’s fuel tankers transferring fuel from Homs to Raqqa, destroying several tankers.

The fighter jets targeted the ISIL’s fuel tankers near the towns of al-Sukhnah and Arak in Eastern Homs, destroying several tankers.

The tankers convoy was heading to ISIL-held regions in Raqqa.

A number of ISIL militants were killed in the air raid.

Deir Ezzur

The Syrian fighter jets carried out several combat sorties over ISIL’s gatherings and concentration centers near the Eastern city of Deir Ezzur, killing or wounding a number of terrorists.

The warplanes targeted the movements and centers of ISIL in Panorama region in the Southern part of Deir Ezzur city in continued air raids, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.

Also, the army aircraft pounded ISIL’s defense lines in al-Thardah mountain Southeast of Deir Ezzur and in areas near Deir Ezzur’s airbase, inflicting heavy casualties on the militants.

The army soldiers that had repelled several attacks of ISIL on their positions in recent days, and stormed the militants’ gatherings and movements in different parts of the province.

Damascus

Syrian army troops intensified attacks on Fatah al-Sham Front (previously known as the al-Nusra Front) in Western Ghouta.

The Syrian army’s missile units opened heavy fire at Fatah al-Sham’s positions in Wadi a-Bardi region, while other units of the army engaged in fierce clashes with the militants in Wadi Basimeh and al-Hosseiniyeh.

In the meantime, the army choppers hit Fatah al-Sham’s defense lines in the villages and towns of Basimeh, al-Basatin, al-Ziniyeh and al-Hosseiniyeh.

A military source said that the army with the cooperation of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent has paved the way for the safe evacuation of civilians from bazaar in Wadi a-Bardi town to safer regions, adding the army tries to increase pressure on the terrorists to force them to surrender.

Sources privy to terrorist groups disclosed that differences are widening among members of Al-Nusra Front (that recently renamed to Fatah al-Sham), adding that a part of Nusra members want to join peace agreement with Damascus but another part stand against such moves.

The disagreement comes as the ceasefire does not include Al-Nusra and ISIL.

Idlib

Militants continue to transfer infrastructures and government properties in Idlib province to the Turkish market to sell them there at very low prices, news websites affiliated to terrorists disclosed.

The websites reported that militants have disassembled the railway between the stations of Mahambel and Bashmaroun by bulldozers and have transferred them to Turkey on heavy trucks to sell them in the Turkish market at very low prices.

Another militant-affiliated website disclosed that unknown people have been stealing the vehicles of the Red Crescent in Idlib in recent days.

The website added that at least eight vehicles have been stolen and two warehouses of the country’s Red Crescent have been ransacked by unknown individuals.
