With a Whimper, Not a Roar. Donald Trump Is Officially 45th President of the United States

If one short year ago you’d told me I’d ever by typing that headline in a non-snarky, non-ironic way, I would probably have laughed in your face.

Anyway, it is over. Or it is starting.

The Congress has just confirmed the votes of the Electoral College and Donald Trump is the president.

Earlier today I posted on a scheme to challenge the electoral vote because some shadowy and secretive left wing group had collected information it claimed invalidated the credentials of more than 50 GOP electors.

In the end, no one had the stomach for a nasty and, for the Democrats, a losing fight
