Here’s something not many people will know;
“Why is the FCPNM being serially ignored by this Tory government? Because they can.
The problem, as we see it, is that the UK government writes its own “Compliance Report”,
so they can maintain whatever they wish, and lie through their teeth as they’re so used
to doing. The Council of Europe rule has to change, so that the national minorities
themselves write the Compliance Reports, rather than those who do nothing but abuse
the Convention! Perhaps we should be pushing the Council of Europe to make this change.”
That’s to say, the criminals can write down how well they’re behaving. For an offence to have taken place, the Government has to admit to it. So how do some crimes and not the others take place? How can one minority be treated better than the others? Only two reasons could exist for this, either the report is compiled by people including members of the minority race or the Government admits it for other reasons. Kindness of heart isn’t a reason, as can be seen by the case of the Cornish.
In another case, the parking meters at Levant Mine have been vandalised, for a second time. The National Trust which runs the site is accused of profiteering from the deaths of 31 miners who died in the Levant Mine disaster in 1919. But as people have been complaing about this issue to the NT, the question arises, what action can you take when you’re ignored?
And today, the 5th March, is St. Piran’s day, St. Piran being adopted as the patron saint of Cornwall. So, a happy St. Piran’s Day to One and All.
