People Know Roger Waters From Pink Floyd and His Hate for Israel

Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters is a damnable anti-Semite.

Let’s just go into this with the truth up front.

Waters sat down for an hour-long discussion with the New York Times to talk about his upcoming album and his efforts to get other artists to be a part of the BDS (Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions) movement, in an effort to economically ruin the state of Israel.

From the Washington Free Beacon:

Waters, whose upcoming album and tour are intended to be an “exercise in resistance” against President Donald Trump, was interviewed by Times music critic Jon Pareles in front of a sold-out crowd just blocks from Trump Tower in New York City.

Asked by the Washington Free Beacon, which was in attendance for the event, about his latest attempt to push for a boycott of Israel, Waters said that members of Radiohead “seem to have decided that they are going to go ahead and do a concert in Tel Aviv.”

“I have engaged in a correspondence with Radiohead, and they seem to have decided that they are going to go ahead and do a concert in Tel Aviv,” said Waters.

So it couldn’t just be about music, right?

I guess if he didn’t have a political cause to encase his work in, people would realize his efforts suck and he’d lose money, fast.

“My personal view is that there is a valid picket line that has been organized by BDS, and I would prefer it if colleagues in my business did not cross that picket line,” Waters said.

And some musicians just want to make music and play for whoever will listen.

“I am not trying to destroy Israel, I have nothing against Jewish people,” Waters insisted. “They accuse me of being an anti-Semite because it is the only way they can attack this position—which is the basic position of BDS.”

So, when you flew a pig with Nazi symbolism and a Star of David on it over a 2013 concert, echoing Nazi and Soviet anti-Jew propaganda, it was because you don’t have a problem with Jewish people?

That stunt got you labeled “an open hater of Jews” from the Simon Weisenthal Center.

Despite saying that he wanted nothing more, Waters then added, “BDS goes further, they want the right to return for the refugees who were kicked out of their homes by force in 1947 and 1948, and again in 1967 after the war.”

“I personally agree with that—I think that to be turfed out of where you live and where you’ve lived for hundreds of years is wrong,” Waters said to raucous applause and a few cheers of “I agree” from the crowd at the Times event.

At least we know which is the paper of record for Neo-Nazis.

“For an artist to go and play in a country that occupies other people’s land and oppresses them the way Israel does, is plain wrong,” Waters told Counterpunch in 2013. “I would not have played for the Vichy government in occupied France in the Second World War, I would not have played in Berlin either during this time.”

Except the land is Israel’s land, and they’ve given back square mile after square mile, to try and keep the peace.

Israel is a sliver of land, surrounded by people who want to kill them, for no other reason than they are Jews in territory dominated by Islam.

Their government boasts Jews, Christians, and Arabs. They are not oppressing anyone, unless just their existence is the oppression, and for Waters and his ilk, I’m pretty sure that’s where it begins and ends.

I hope that every time another artist plays Israel, Waters feels he has failed.

Let his album sales reflect the same.
