Rhetorical Rehabilitation of the Rebel Spirit

I know you’ve heard this propaganda before. Every Southerner has read, heard, (or even themselves stated) a variation of this trope:

“Northern culture has steadily progressed 20 years ahead of the South.“

The implication here, which in a sense is true, is that every cultural shift in the last couple of centuries has been stimulated by agitators and radicals in Northern states.

Though, It would probably be more accurate to say that the geneses of most modern social movements have occurred in the more cosmopolitan enclaves of cities like New York City, Berkeley and San Francisco, – but for the sake of discussion we will equate “North” to urbanite and “South” to rural.

In recent years this process of shifting the Overton window to the Left has accelerated and several dynamics are playing out at once. There is currently an intense cultural breakdown in all Western nations that is creating deep divisions, even at the local level – and at the same time, and almost universally, there is an overall willingness to accept shifts when they occur without much resistance. It is as if though the lemmings have given up! Take heed! We must find solace in those deep divisions because they are early signs of the revolution that’s ahead on the horizon.

While Dixian acceptance of Northern “progressive” movements has become much more passive since the 1960s, we must seize this revolutionary moment in history and capitalize on the growing rifts. After all, there is nothing normal or natural about many of the social changes that we have endured in the last 60 years. If anything, they have been wholly unnatural: methodically planned and implemented by (((powerful forces))) in our media, government and religious institutions.

The machinations behind The Decline are hidden in plain sight, but this commentary isn’t aimed at the who , the when, the what, or the why. Instead, it is instructive for us to become versed in the rhetorical tactics that our enemies have used to impose their will upon us.

Let’s go back to that sentence about Progress™:

“Northern culture has steadily progressed 20 years ahead of the South.“

What powerful characteristics does this simple sentence possess that can cause otherwise uncompromising men to accept deterioration and decay? For one, it assumes acquiescence by the deferential to the sovereign. The War of Northern Aggression ended 150 some odd years ago, but Southerners have accepted our sub-servitude without so much as a whimper. Flying a Confederate battle flag while accepting (((Globalist))) dick up your ass is an affront to the blood our forefathers spilled so long ago. I personally refuse to fly that flag until Southerners get some intestinal fortitude again.

That sentence is powerful because it judges every white, Southern, rural man the inferior of his Northern (((urbane))) counterpart. It implies that we must be led, guided, herded, and sometimes whipped into conforming to a cultural suicide pact devised by ne’er-do-wells who think of us as chattel.

Make no mistake – this is propaganda. But this brainwashing can be turned on its head quite easily. Judge this sentence for its rhetorical merit:

“Southern culture is more impervious to spiraling degeneracy than Northern culture.“

See what I did there? I took the moral authority from the hands of our enemies and bludgeoned them with equally powerful words.

If there is one thing that the presidential election and meme war of 2016 taught me, it is the power of words. Psychological consequences have persisted for generations since Reconstruction. It is time for a revolution of the mind and spirit as well as the political. Here at Identity Dixie we insist that we must “Retake Everything.” That includes our Southern dignity.

Learn to use powerful rhetoric that restores our honor and rehabilitates our collective spirit as a people. The Decline has changed this country for ill, North and South alike. This is your call to arms Southern Man. The time has come, it is your destiny.
