Sean Hannity Vows To Fight His Accuser

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

When Roger Ailes was first blasted as a total creeper by former Fox personality, Gretchen Carlson, it was like pulling a bottom piece from the tower in a game of Jenga. All the pieces came falling apart, and all of Fox News’ dirty laundry became very public.

Multiple reports of sexual harassment by the elderly CEO of the top-rated cable news network surfaced.

Ailes resigned, amid lawsuits and pressure from Rupert Murdoch, head of Fox’s parent company, 21st Century Fox, and his sons.

It didn’t take long for more stories of this culture of misogyny to come to light.

Fox’s top dog, Bill O’Reilly, was hit hard by allegations of misconduct, paying out $13 million to settle lawsuits by women who claimed mistreatment, and the loss of his long-running, ratings powerhouse show with Fox, “The O’Reilly Factor.”

Some have suggested that there is an effort by the left that has targeted Fox News for destruction, and that may very well be the case, because the latest to be implicated in the reports of bad behavior is Sean Hannity.

Streiff hit on the allegations against Hannity earlier today, but basically, Debbie Schlussel, a lawyer and former guest on Hannity’s program appeared on an Oklahoma radio program last week and accused Hannity of propositioning her.

She claims that after she refused, Hannity no longer invited her on his program.

I’ll note several things.

For starters, her story was a bit thin.

Secondly, unless she had a contract, promising a set number of appearances on a program, not being invited back is not a right, nor a guarantee. Maybe she was just a really poor guest the first time?

Sean Hannity has actually responded to the charge.

Hannity sent this statement to The Blaze:

“LET ME BE CLEAR – THE COMMENTS ABOUT ME ON A RADIO SHOW THIS WEEK by this individual are 100% false and a complete fabrication.

This individual is a serial harasser who has been lying about me for well over a decade. The individual has a history of making provably false statements against me in an effort to slander, smear and besmirch my reputation.

The individual has not just slandered me over the years but many people who this individual disagrees with.

This individual desperately seeks attention by any means necessary, including making unfounded personal attacks and using indefensible and outrageous political rhetoric.

My patience with this individual is over. I have retained a team of some of the finest and toughest lawyers in the country who are now in the process of laying out the legal course of action we will be taking against this individual.

In this fiercely divided & vindictive political climate, I will no longer allow slander and lies about me to go unchallenged, as I see a coordinated effort afoot to now silence those with conservative views. I will fight every single lie about me by all legal means available to me as an American.”

Fighting back. This is new for Fox News, actually. Ailes and O’Reilly just paid off their accusers.

For this reason, I actually believe Hannity.

Yes. Don’t choke on your Cheerios. I’m actually siding with Sean Hannity on something.

It’s warranted, however.

The timing and nature of Schlussel’s claim seems to be one of opportunism, at best. There is blood in the water over at Fox, and the idea that women are always the victim really does put a dent in the notion of the “empowered woman” that the leftists who are so gleefully pushing these stories claim to stand on.

Sometimes women lie.

Schlussel does seem to have a real problem with Hannity. It’s almost obsessive.

She’s previously accused him of scamming the veteran’s charity, Freedom Alliance, by demanding they pay out for private jet services, high priced suites, and other luxury items, in order to get him to attend concerts they put on for our nation’s vets.

Hannity disputed those charges and was backed up by statements from his office, as well as from the Freedom Alliance.

Schlussel seems to be on a vendetta, spurred on by not being invited back to Hannity’s show. I would take her statements with a pretty large grain of salt.
